I don't need to use this thing a lot, but it's so satisfying whenever I do. The handle is massive, feels like I'm working with a medieval weapon while using it. It also isn't hard to get straight lines, exactly where I need them. The handle lock is easy to use and it holds the handle tightly in place, I'm not concerned about this causing any injuries. I like the light weight of the unit. May need to figure out a way to 'lock' the cutting blade. Kinda scary when picking up to relocate for use. Wish the measuring numbers at the top could be in a lighter color so reading the marks were easier to see. It does cut accurately and the unit is light weight, which is a big plus rather than the old heavy units from back in school days. ... show more

I love this paper cutter! Sometimes I have to shave off the smallest of paper or vinyl and it does so with ease! I also like that the blade handle stays just where you want and stays securely in the lower position so it’s not dangerous. I also like that it’s plastic so it won’t warp and it’s very lightweight. I wanted something inexpensive to keep in my cubicle at work because I like to print things and cut them to size on my cubicle wall, and since I can't cut a straight line to save my life with scissors, I looked for an actual desktop cutter like this one. I've worked with other guillotine cutters in the past and love how easy they are to use, and this one is no exception. For the price, this is perfect, but it is *not* a heavy-duty cutter. I have accidentally messed the blade up by attempting to cut too many sheets at one time. I knew better. I'd say that 5 sheets of normal 20 lb paper is the best for accurate cutting, and any more than that and one will chance the paper sliding and/or making a rough cut. This slices through single sheets of cardstock with ease. The board is a good size, 8.5x11 paper fits edge to edge, landscape. I highly recommend for light-duty projects. I do wish the non-slip pads on the bottom were a little larger, because this does still slide around on my desk because of how lightweight the unit as a whole is. ... show more

Our office has this same cutter that is a few years old. I wanted to replace the blade but it is cheaper and easier to just replace the paper cutted so I just purchased another one.
