    • From 4gb To 16gb And My PC Is Peppier, A Procedure I should Have Done A Long Time Ago!
Size: 16GB Kit (2 x 8GB) Style: DDR3L
For a Dell Optiplex 790 Intel i3, Windows 10 64bit, upgrading from 2gb x 2, or 4gb to 16gb, with 8gb x 2. I grounded myself carefully by touching the chassis. Popped out the 2 bars of 2gb each by carefully pushing on both sides lever and inserted the new 8gb x 2 bars in their respective slots, the same slots as the old DDRs we are replacing. Make sure they are well seated and also pushing up and in, the 2 levers at both ends. Restarted the PC and everything booted up without problem, went into Bios and confirmed 16gb is recognized. Everything seems faster. I needed this upgrade in order to run Quickbooks Desktop Plus 2024 which is 64bit and requires at least 8gb. So far day 2, Quickbooks runs faster and also for everything else like Explorer for file transfer and Chrome for Internet run peppier. Over all, I am very pleased with this upgrade and should have done it a long time ago considering the straight forward Ram swap procedure and the immediate speed gain. ... show more

I'm noticed a lot of the bad reviews for this ram was usually because someone bought the wrong one as there is a difference between DDR3 and DDR3L. I ordered the 32 GB DDR3L and got just what I wanted. Quality is decent and the speed meets the same. It was a good upgrade for a server PC that I run and they fit right in like they should. The PC recognize them immediately I'm getting the full 32 GB so overall I'm happy with what I got.
