We remodeled our shower and used this drain system. Our contractor installed it and it looks great. I like that it comes with its own hook tool to remove the top cover since that cover fits very snugly in the base. It's a nice touch that there are two hair filters, the top grate and the inner grate in the drain tube. The entire assembly is solidly built and the metal parts have a very nice finish. The water drains well down the high output drain.

I was hoping to use this with my current shower system to help with the hair issues from shedding so much in the shower. I couldn't put it to use cause it didn't fit but that was my fault for not measuring well. However reading the instructions it seems more for when your building a bathroom so a little harder to install on your existing bathroom. The metal quality is really nice and clean looking and its so priced out so cheaply in my opinion, due to the durable parts and thickness of material.

I'm remodeling a bathroom and using brushed gold fixtures, So I wanted To match them with the drawing for my tiled shower floor. I went to The Big Box store and the shower drain that looks virtually identical to this one was $100! And this one looks, feels, and functions exactly the same! I do not know if mine was a return, but when it arrived, it was scratched the drain cap was dented and I had to get something else I worry if the drain cap dented that easily of the quality of product, but the rest of the construction seemed to pretty sturdy, which is why I’m going ahead and giving it two stars. For $32 I would expect something a lot more sturdy.

This is for bathroom remodel in the hopefully not too distant future. We are building a custom shower. The drain is solid, very sturdy, well made, no sharp edges, nicks or scratches. Everything you will need is in the package. If you are doing DIY, I recommend you take the part that connects to the drain with you to the plumbing section for proper fitment of parts needed. I have shower/faucet sets where you can regulate the water flow. I could have been ok with a 4x4 drain set, but 6x6 just looks so much better. If you/your plumber know/s how to install, you shouldn't have any issues. If this is new to you, I recommend watching some tutorials first.

This is a wide 6" x 6" drain that appears to be top notch stuff but the cleaning recommendations say not to use just about everything you would use to clean your shower. No bleach based products, no abrasives, ect. It also says that mortar and silicone my "yellow" the finish. I am not so sure about this one. Cheers
