Popped this bad boy into my 2009 MacBook Pro 13” A1278 I went from 2GB of ram to 5GB overnight and it’s a night and day difference. I can now run a virtual machine on Snow leopard with minimum lag. Before I upgraded I was stuck on 10.5 Leopard because it used less ram than 10.6 snow leopard and with 2GB, it was insufficient for snow leopard. Everything runs great and the machine might as well be new. I plan on buying another 4GB stick and maxing out the machine with 8GB total.
