Description

ELEGOO STEM kits provide all the necessary components, sensors, wires, and boards for you to get started with programming, learning electronics, and creating IoT projects. We strive our best to make STEM education easy to learn and accessible to the young generation. Visit the Store Visit the Store Visit the Store Chris, the founder of ELEGOO, found out that most enterprises in the STEM industry focused on the hardware of open-source electronics and did not have tools to create a complete product by combining electronic hardware and structural shells. We have excellent R&D team, constantly upgrading and improving products, and after-sales service team for quick support. 100% compatible with Arduino, ELEGOO's kits are best-practice for beginners who have no appropriate technical tools to learn about electronics. Want to learn how to work with electronics and programming but need a little help? You've come to the right place! ELEGOO UNO R3 Starter Kit provides an open-source electronics prototyping platform based on flexible, easy-to-use hardware and software, which evolves the user from beginner to professional level. Our starter kit is designed to get you started quickly and easily on your path of learning electronics. Originally this pack was designed to follow the introductory tutorials with 33 creative and fun projects on our website. But it's a great starter kit in general as it's designed for everyone even novices who has very little or no electronics and programming experience. The starter bundle contains everything you need (except tools) to take your first step on electronics journey! Electronics is not as complicated as you imagine especially with ELEGOO UNO R3 Starter Kit. For advanced users like professional lab engineers, electronic major students and experienced electronics hobbyists, they can use this kit to do various kinds of tests and experiments with so many sensors available at hand. It’s a good choice and kit for your kids, friends, family members whoever is obsessed with electronics, programming or robotics to take their first steps on electronics journey! Quantity and quality are both important here in ELELGOO UNO R3 starter kit. The most essential parts in this kit are UNO R3 controller board and expansion board, which is a clone with excellent product finish compatible with electronics projects. Besides, we offer other over 60 kinds of components and sensors from small parts like LED diodes, resistors and potentiometer to big parts like LCD1602, RFID module and 830 tie-points breadboard, which meet your demands for your different projects either it is simple or complex. Sturdy quality is definitely the most important thing to ELEGOO even with so many components provided we never compromised on the quality. Instead we keep improving our product quality in our own factory and we produce the products by ourselves under high standards and strict quality control. Pins and wires on some of the parts like LCD16502 and motors have been pre-soldered which is very convenient and saves your time. 74HC595 is a Serial to Parallel Converter which has eight outputs and three inputs that you use to feed data into it a bit at a time. This chip makes it a little slower to drive the LEDs (you can only change the LEDs about 500,000 times a second instead of 8,000,000 a second) but it's still really fast, way faster than humans can detect, so it's worth it! 74HC595 shift register is a type of chip that holds what can be thought of as eight memory locations, each of which can either be a 1 or a 0. To set each of these values on or off, we feed in the data using the 'Data' and 'Clock' pins of the chip. LCD1602 module is a display that has an LED backlight and can display two rows with up to 16 characters on each row. You can see the rectangles for each character on the display and the pixels that make up each character. The display is just white on blue and is intended for showing text. Lining up the display with the top of the breadboard helps to identify its pins without too much counting, especially if the breadboard has its rows numbered with row 1 as the top row of the board. Do not forget, the long yellow lead that links the slider of the pot to pin 3 of the display. The 'pot' is used to control the contrast of the display. In this project you will learn how to control a small DC motor using an UNO R3 and a L293D transistor, which is a very useful chip. It can actually control two motors independently. We are just using half the chip in this lesson, most of the pins on the right hand side of the chip are for controlling a second motor. L293D is quadruple high-current half-H drivers and designed to provide bidirectional drive currents of up to 1 A at voltages from 4.5 V to 36 V. The L293D is also designed to provide bidirectional drive currents of up to 600-mA at voltages from 4.5 V to 36 V and drive inductive loads such as relays, solenoids, dc and bipolar stepping motors, as well as other high-current/high-voltage loads in positive-supply applications.

  • Good product, learning curve Good product, learning curve
Color: V1.0
Its a lil bit of headache and a Lil bit of a learning curve. Especially because its its a clone of an arduino board. So you have to learn how to match arduino program with the clone for example "elegoo uno board = arduino uno board".Lil things you have to test out, but it's a cool Lil board to learn computer programming and making cool stuff. But if your a beginner. I advise to get the book by Simon monk " programming arduino, getting started with sketches ", this book teaches you the basics and language of computer c++ programming. And also gives you Lil task to accomplish and when you feel comfortable you can make Lil changes. And your world will open up. And each mistake is an accomplishment waiting to be learned. And I also had a problem with downloading the sketches from the files for the reason that i have windows11, so my problem was that when i went to downloadthe sketch. The media player would open. But the sketches are not media its an inf file. So when you click on the file the mediaplayer will open and on the side of the screen there will be a section where it would say properties. You have to change the mediaplayer into a drive that could read files. Because the mediaplayer is trying to read the file as if was a video......"word of advice! Make a copy of the files don't rely on just one. Just in case you mess up on 1 file you can go back and see what you have to correct ". ... show more

  • Amazing Value and a Ton of Fun!
Color: V1.0
I was looking for an Arduino clone starter kit and considered many options. I’m an Electrical Engineer with 15+ years experience designing, manufacturing and testing space flight electrical hardware for satellites. I have a very high standard for quality and was hesitant to purchase this kit due to its low price and my fears that it would be total junk. However, I figured the price was so darn low that even if it turned out to be junk, it wouldn’t be a huge waste. Wow, am I glad I bought this! First, the set arrives in a very useful organizer. I found this to be a really nice feature and helps save time when searching for parts to build each different project. Upon initial inspection, the quality of each component appeared very acceptable. Definitely low-quality parts — as you’d rightfully expect at this price point — but certainly no where near “junk” quality. By low-quality, I’m referring to mostly the solder quality, but also the individual piece-parts used in the assemblies are your standard Chinese low-grade parts. Some soldered parts were installed misaligned and some PCB assemblies still had visible contamination on them from inadequate washing. Again, this is all to be expected at this price point and so far, I was very pleased. The real test is if everything worked... I completed all the tutorials and found the instructions very easy to follow. A CD is included in the kit, which supposedly contains all the required software, tutorials and datasheets. My laptop doesn’t have a CD ROM drive so I downloaded everything on the Elegoo website. That’s probably the best option anyway — that way, you know you are using the latest versions of everything. The datasheets were a nice-to-have, although some of them were not as detailed as they should be. Still useful nonetheless. The tutorial manual was clearly written — it’s definitely not poorly translated Chinese-to-English like I expected. It’s entirely written in clear English. In some places, I wish it did a better job explaining the code and syntax, but honestly, that’s something Google can handle. Every tutorial was completed easily and I discovered only one technical mistake: the tutorial on DC motor control omitted a ground jumper between the Arduino board and the breadboard/motor controller board. Consequently, the control signal logic levels were not correctly referenced to the same ground potential on both boards. The motor did not respond correctly at first but some quick troubleshooting lead me to add the ground connection and everything worked flawlessly after that. I’ve tested every component in the kit now and everything works as intended. I’m a little bit surprised at this but very, VERY happy. This kit has been a ton of fun to play with. It’s perfect for anyone wanting to get started with Arduinos. It has so many different cool components that this will keep you entertained and get your creative juices flowing. I highly recommend it! ... show more

  • This would be an excellent learning kit (more value than expected) if I could get it to work.
Color: V1.0
The CD rom that came with this was missing some files, first two subjects in English file were not there. Downloaded drivers onto two computers but neither computer recognizes the Arduino controller. Needs drivers on CD and not downloaded from internet. I would check if a similar kit was available from another manufacturer. ... show more

  • More than what I expected, Inexpensive, Very Very Educational.
Color: V1.0
This kit is a GREAT and inexpensive alternative to buying an expensive arduino kit. Any one who is interested in learning about micro controllers and how they work should get this kit.The product comes with a CD which has PDF lessons, libraries and code. There are some issues with the PDF tutorials. I just don't want beginners to get discouraged if the programs are not working properly. If you have a problem, go online, and find a solution pretending what you got in your hand is a Arduino Uno, not a Elegoo Uno. The programs, code, projects are all similar. It always worked for me. I have found some issues with lesson 32, and would like to give people some feedback. Lesson 32 Issues: There is a arduino file named "With_Remote" in the Lesson 32 folder. When the comments on the code say // Rotate CW it really means Rotate Counter Clockwise. When the comments on the code say // Rotate CCW it really means Rotate Clockwise. Also, in order for the project to work the way it is supposed to, you will need to push the "VOL+" and "VOL-" buttons on the remote control. (There are no UP and DOWN buttons on the remote control , as mentioned in the code comments.) Lastly, if you are getting a "'TKD2' was not declared" compiler error ( you will know what i mean when you see it ) , you will need to go to C Drive > x86 > Arduino > libraries > RobotIRremote > src. After clicking on the folder named src you will see 2 files named IRremoteTools.cpp and IRremoteTools.h. Cut these 2 files and paste them somewhere else ( on your desktop for example). These files conflict with other files in the Arduino library and dont let Lesson 32 work the way it is meant to work. Just dont delete them permanently!! You might need them later. I will post more updates on the kit as time passes. ... show more
