    • Perfect fit for SO-239 mount
I'm using this on my 2012 JK to mount a 2m ham radio antenna, with it's UHF connector (SO-239). Mount installed easily, using bolts already on the jeep. I already have another CB radio antenna on the other side, so I wanted to keep them separated.

As a ham radio operator, I'm always adding another antenna onto my Toyota 4Runner. While these are made to be mounted on the doorframe of a Jeep Wrangler, with some creativity and a few nuts and washers, it can be mounted on many types of roof racks. The metal itself is thick and feels strong. The coating seems to have been applied properly. The holes are properly sized. Note, the hole for the antenna is sized for PL-259-style mounts, not MNO. If it were $5 cheaper I would give it 5 stars, but the price seems just a bit high, though still worth it. ... show more

Quality of material is top notch. The powder coating is thick, and seems like it will last. Issues I see when mounted is that this puts the antenna up higher than other mounts, which means the cable will be routed along the body. There is no way to hide the cable, or tuck it anywhere so it is out of the way. Another issue is with mounting your antenna cable. Depending on which antenna you are using, modification to the hole may be necessary. It will hold a standard CB coax without issue, but you will need to open the hole a bit for a GMRS antenna. ... show more
