I got this for a chainsaw mill and also to take down some really large oaks on the property. My initial reaction when unboxing was disappointment as the chain brake handle was broken even though there was no visible damage to the box in which it was shipped. I sent a note via Amazon to the seller and they responded quickly and professionally to resolve all issues. After doing some minor assembly, the first start was very surprising - it started on the 4th pull of the rope and ran well. I made some very minor adjustments to the idle speed and started cutting some oak for firewood. It has great power and blasted through the red oak at least 50% faster than my Stihl MS271. As mentioned in the manual (which appears to be a edited reprint of the Stihl manual), I took it easy during break in and the saw seems to perform better after a dozen tanks of fuel. Interestingly, the manual has two different fuel/oil mix ratios listed in it. I'm using the higher oil ratio mix so I'm certain there will be plenty of lubrication. I'll just clean the spark arrester and change plugs more often. I have mounted it in a chainsaw mill with a 36" bar. I think the long bar is probably too much for this saw, but it works fine as long as I don't push too hard. I have milled a few white oak logs now and think the saw will hold up well as long as I maintain it properly. This saw should cut anything that I'm capable of handling and more. I'll probably use a 20" bar for most tree work as that will handle the vast majority of the trees on my land. I highly recommend purchasing from the seller Wagner Chainsaws as they stock these, ship fast, and provide truly excellent customer service. They provided replacement parts for parts damaged in shipment and followed up to make sure the issues were resolved. The folks I dealt with were knowledgeable, professional, and very helpful. I will certainly be purchasing bars, chains, and other consumables from them in the future. I'm glad I paid a few dollars more to avoid dealing with a seller from a different continent. Well worth it.

I am just over the one year mark using this saw for cutting firewood. The chain tensioner failed and so have the 2 more stihl brand tensioners. I can only get around two tanks of fuel and the gear straps again. This saw has great power and up until about 12 months of owning it was very reliable. Its a shame I cant seem to get any options from seller on fixing the problem. I feel I am close to having broke even on the cost of saw to the wood it has cut. Anyone know of a better saw for comparable price? Update, i will try the bushings, thank you

I bought this saw for a Alaskan saw mill. Got it out of the box put it together started it up like I would with all my other Stihl saws. Ran great. Put a bar and chain on it and 30 pulls later didn't run. Contacted seller and he helped me adjust the carb to get it going again and I was able to fine tune it after that. Already have put 2 gallons of fule threw it, and it has preformed awesome. The BAD, I have lost at least 4 nuts off of the front post. The chain tensioner is weak. Overall for the price it's hard to beat. I like the skid plate on the bottom and the fact that it's close to sthills colors. One more thing if getting a 36 in Alaskan mill get a 42in bar. You lose a lot having to move it back for the sprocket.

If you want to learn a big chainsaw the hard way I am sure it's right up your alley. Everything breaks. Muffler fell off in first five minutes from no loctite and finding a replacement bolt has been a nightmare as all the replacement kits have wrong sized bolts. I've had about 2 solid days of work on this thing in about 2 years. It leaks oil like a sieve, smokes and sputters. Once you dial everything in it will certainly have another issue. I have used my 14" electric Craftsman more for the job I bought this for than I have this dog.

As much as I hate to say it and admit that this chinese product is better than the u s product.That's what I gotta do in this case.We sell a lot of firewood every year.This saw is fired up had a couple issues there.for the first hour, readjusted carb. But after that, fires, right up on cold, flip, the choke down to run, pull it twice fires up every time i put a twenty eight inch bar on it.Oregon bar and matching chain skipper.That thing's been ripping wood, nonstop best money I spent in years. If it makes it a year freikin awesome

Just started it today (04/15/25). So far so good. I did have to adjust the carbs slightly to get the saw started. For my first 92cc chain saw it feels and sounds great. Although these saws have been run at the factory I am still going to do a "break in period" before heavy use. I do recomend buying a different or higher quality air filter. Just by looking at the one from the packaging you can tell it is not the best quality. This saw did come with an NGK spark plug I plan on using this for home use and saw milling so I will give an update after more use with the saw If I could give a more accurate rating I would give a 4.5 stars simply just for the air filter being of low quality.

This is the second saw I have ordered from this company. The first one I ordered 6 years ago. I ave been very pleased with both of them. This last saw I ordered came with a cracked sprocket cover which was no fault of theirs. The package was very well protected but somehow the shippers managed to crack it. I notified the company and they immediately sent me a new sprocket cover, no questions asked. I will definitely be doing business with this company again!
