Bought this 90 watt charger in Jan and it made a loud pop noise and quit working in Sept. Pretty sure it was the capacitor that blew and I was glad I was home when it happened. Not sure if something worse would have happened or if it would have just stopped working. It was very very warm right after it blew out. Worked good before. Charged the battery well and let the machine work at full speed which can be a problem with a lot of chargers that don't have the signal pin Dell requires. Bought another even though it seems to be in warranty (1 yr) Edit: I made no attempt to contact the seller, they contacted me and offered me a refund or a replacement of the charger that failed on me. Very lightweight compared to my previous adapter but that plays into price. Definitely works and seems durable enough. I’d say it’s worth it for a cheap replacement. Charged my laptop fast. Doesn’t overheat and does what it’s supposed.
