My reason for 4 stars is that the black does not laser white like the picture would indicate. Those patches were done with another print method entirely. I have a 20W diode laser. My settings are 35 power, 100 speed and 100 LPC. I know some people are super secret about their laser settings, but I figured I'd share to help others be successful. I also have a hat press. I press at 325 degrees for 25 seconds. I use parchment paper in between the patch and heat element on the press. To keep the patch from shifting on press I use heat tape to tape the edges of the patch to the hat. I press with light pressure for about 10 seconds. I then remove the heat tape from the patch and press on medium/high pressure for the full 25 seconds stated above. This way the heat tape doesn't make an impression on the patch itself, but the patch is stuck centered where it needs to be on the hat. PS: I have purchased several of these types of patches and find that all the above setting work an all patches I've purchased. I will be writing the same review for every one I've purchased. I'm sorry my photos are dark. I will upload more/better photos to this review later.

Get what youbpay for. Maybe good for learning, but that is about it. The black patches do not laser white as shown. One of the brown patches laser black then white. I hit it again thinking it didn't go deep enough, but results didn't change. The threads are poor quality as well on some of the patches.

They are nice multi colored pieces and easy to work with… BUT you will need fabric glue to help secure as the press or iron will not work great. Still HTV transfers easily

The quality of these seem to be very good but I can't get them to stay on without burning them. If they have heat instructions, that would help tremendously.

Definitely more synthetic than real leather, but adheres properly to hats. So far, so good. These do engrave pretty good and mold to hats. #idahoballerbrand
