  • A Clear View
These binoculars come with a very nice case that has a string velcro panel and a belt loop on the back. The case is soft , but it's molded to mimic the overall shape of the binoculars. Inside the case is a small microfiber cleaning cloth that is inside a small baggie. The binoculars have good weight to them, but they aren't overly heavy where they are uncomfortable to hold after a few minutes. Speaking of holding the binoculars have a nice grippy texture on the bottom, so holding on to them is easy. The overall design makes them comfortable and easy to hold regardless, but the texture is a nice touch. Sight picture is of course subjective to the user but for me after I adjusted the binoculars and adjusted the focus I was looking at a bird in a tree that was a few houses down and the next street over from my backyard. The focus is so sharp with very good contrast as I was able to read the numbers on the utility pole in my neighbors backyard above the transformer with ease. The clarity is very good and clear. I wear glasses, and while the eye pieces don't have flip down cups like some other binoculars have I have no problems using these binoculars. The strap is very nice and has a textured grippy side and is padded well. The neck strap has a contour to sit on the back of the neck easier which also allows it to be comfortably hung on a shoulder. I'm using the neck strap as I feel it's needed, so I won't have to carry the case or continue holding the binoculars when I'm not using them. In conclusion, these are great for any activity that requires seeing things that are far away with very good clarity and detail. ... show more

  • Quality Binoculars in a Compact Size! Bright, Clear Images!
We were looking for a set of binoculars that were small and of decent quality to take on an upcoming trip. This 8x25 Olimt pair fit the bill nicely. The exterior of the binoculars is protected with a non-slip rubberized coating that also provides protection from moisture, drops and abrasion. A set of connected rubber caps cover the eyepieces but the front lenses are recessed and have no caps. Honestly, I don't see a problem with that as they are sufficiently recessed as to prevent most accidental contact. All optics are multi-coated, twist-up eyecups provide customizable eye relief and the binoculars pack down to a small 4" by 4" by x 2 1/4” size outside of the case. The focus dial operation is smooth and focus range is from about 5' to infinity. But it's not fast focusing and requires about four complete turns to go from the closest focus to infinity. Optically, I'm impressed. Images are clear, sharp and bright. Field of view, which is basically the width of the image viewed, is 430' at 1000 yards. For a small pair of binoculars, that's a good rating. Weight of the binoculars and strap is just under 13 ounces and adding the case brings them to just over a pound. Conclusion: These compact and lightweight binoculars are well-made, and the BAK-4 prisms produce excellent images. They are not waterproof but water resistant and optically, images are bright and clear with a decent field of view. I think they are an excellent choice for travel ... show more

  • Great quality with vibrant and sharp details
I’m honestly impressed with these binoculars, especially for the price! The image is much clearer and sharper than I expected, and the colors are vibrant and detailed. They’re compact and lightweight, which makes them perfect for travel, camping, or tossing in a backpack without taking up much space. The carrying case and strap are good quality and make it easy to store and carry everything. Both my husband and I were able to adjust the focus quickly and easily, with no issues at all. Overall, this is a solid purchase for casual birdwatching, hikes, sporting events, or just keeping a pair on hand. Definitely exceeded my expectations! ... show more

  • Theyre ok
I've had limited experience with binoculars in general so my opinions are not comparative to previous experiences with other binoculars. This set comes with a strap and case, and also a cover for the eye-side of the binoculars. The binoculars are made of hard plastic and rubber (i think). The resistance when adjusting the width of the lenses feels sturdy. Now using these was hard. I wear glasses and it's basically impossible to see through these binoculars with glasses on because of how close to the lens your eyes need to be to see through that tiny light hole. If you look into the lens, from far away it looks all black with a small circle you need to line your eyeball with to actually see out the other side. I often felt like my eyeball was too close to the lens when trying to line it up - almost as if my eyeball would touch something lol. Looking through with one eye was not easy, but looking through both at the same time was hard. You need a steady hand and really need to line them up correctly to see out of them properly. There's a secondary focus adjustment on the right side which worked intuitively. I used these at Yosemite to look at a water fall from far away and my general experience was that there's a haze across the image that takes away from what it looks like with the naked eye. For that reason, I ended up hardly using these. Granted, I didnt have a use case really in mind other than that. I can imagine trying to track a fast moving animal with these would be really hard. Overall I dont think I'll be using these regularly unless I happen to go whale or bird watching (which I have never done). I feel like they're expensive but that's just based on what I got out of them, which was not much. ... show more
