I have had this system for over a year now and I am impressed with its performance vs. the price. I have expanded the system from the original 4 cameras to 6 cameras. As you can see in my sample photo the clarity especially in HD is excellent. The good: easy to install and ultra reliable. Rivals more expensive systems. Many functions and features. Clarity of images great. Range of cameras is impressive. Customer service is excellent and ultra responsive. Does not effect your internet bandwidth. Peace of mind. Areas of improvement: The app needs to be revised. It constantly shuts down or won’t start unless you try to use it 10 times. UPDATE: Cromorc contacted me immediately regarding the app issue and determined that I downloaded the wrong app. After downloading and installing the correct app the issues completely vanished. Very good customer service! The listen and pay attention to their clients needs! The cameras are not weatherproof. They MUST be under an awning or covered with a shield over them. They WILL fill up with water and become unusable. The motion detection is super sensitive even in the lowest setting. It cannot be used outdoors due to this. Every little wiggling leaf will set it off. Spiders love the night vision lights so they make webs in front of the lenses nightly. In conclusion the system is excellent and I have recommended it to many folks in my town. I comment Cromorc for producing this system at such an inexpensive price for what it can do. Please do not hesitate to purchase it.

I purchased this Cromorc 4 camera, 8 channel system to replace a old outdated 4 camera swann system. It took 2 days of research- reading reviews on cameras & apps to make my decision. I'm thrilled with this purchase so far. I added 2 additional cameras for a total of 6 so far. The picture is outstanding- very clear bright colors during the day, and very clear at night. The set up was a breeze, the original 4 cameras were synced to the dvr on arrival and adding the 2 additional ones was very easy. The instructions were easy to follow. We just replaced 4 cameras that were installed, so we only needed to purchase some extra length of male/female extension plugs for each camera, also found on amazon. I had to use the repeater feature on 1 of the add on cameras due to its location, it was easy to do, & easy to find the correct camera to repeat off of after a couple of tries. All 6 cameras have a strong signal & we have total coverage of the outside of our house, garage & yard. We use the 12" screen to keep an eye on all areas our property with out having to walk to a door or window. I have not had any problems with the phone app either. I have not used the motion detection yet. So far, I highly recommend this system.

It's a lot of $$...and my electrician said a NO GO, as it needs hard wiring..(not battery operated). He said too, my router was too far away to pick up any signal to view.... I did contact the company who was a bit difficult to work with and long story short, I'm stuck with this in the big box, sitting on my floor and out the money. I rely on a professional to install as I cannot do it as a female. The company did not offer me to return it. Just kept sending me pages and pages of manual information. :// *******March 2019.......I had to buy a wifi extender fyi.......so all 4 cameras would continue to come in clear and not go in and out. I hired a top commercial electrical company to install this system. THIS COMPANY DID OFFER ME TO RETURN IT/I chose not to do so. My new electricians were impressed so I shall see how it works out night and day now. Love having a separate monitor to view all 4 cameras. Did not want some tiny phone screen. Going to add more inside now. Not a cheap project by any means for me but I knew it already. I've raised it to the 4 stars and will evaluate in a few days. UPDATE:: April 9, 2019 - Well they do not work for me wireless as my building/home is too large of a distance. The electrical company is dragging their feet and has not returned to HARD WIRE NOW (or do anything at all)... The electrical company changed me a fortune yet will not come back. I'll have to pay more money. They told me to buy an 'extender' which I did ($115). NO CHANGE as cameras go in/out or off. This Company has been very kind and helpful to me as well as AMAZON, and refunded my purchase price after 6 months. THANK YOU VERY MUCH. I was not able myself to climb up to remove them so this kindness means a lot to me. If your property or home is not large this is a good system I really feel. All my cameras were mounted outside.

Love my cameras. I had an issue with one but I emailed Customer service and Cindy responded promptly. She sent me out a new one with no problem. Easy setup. Turn on and it started working. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

EDIT: Although I loved the system initially, it does not have the reliability it should. I have two systems and about once every two months one or the other crashes and gives the "NVR IPC Disconnect" blue screen for all the cameras. The system can only be recovered with power off and rebooting. I tried updating the firmware, but the update is the same revision as the original one. So that did not help. IPC error should mean that one camera has disconnected. In this case, they all stop at the same time. This problem significantly reduces the utility of an NVR camera system so I am reducing my rating from 5 stars to 2 stars. ORIGINAL REVIEW: The Cromorc system is surprisingly good considering its low cost. I like it a lot and would buy another if I needed it. I have bought two 8 camera capacity systems for different properties and can monitor both through the same mobile app. Each system was running with four cameras within 30 minutes of opening the box. The hardware is durable and well designed. I have been able to replay recordings that are well more than a week old on the 2TB systems. From recorded videos I found that wild turkeys, not neighborhood dogs, were messing the front yard. The only thing that I think could be improved would be for the vendor to sell an accessory kit for mounting the cameras outside and interfacing to them electrically. Using components purchased from a big box hardware store I had to make custom electrical boxes to bring 110 volts to a weather protected outlet, shield the 12 volt power supply, and mount the camera. Also, I found that mounting the camera on the underside or top of a horizontal surface is best for being able to adjust the aim of the camera. The 3 axis design of the camera mount makes it much more difficult to aim the camera if it is mounted on a vertical surface. The pictures show the stages of construction of the boxes.

UPDATE! I really don’t understand all of the negative reviews on this system! I had a small issue with the screen and the company replaced the entire system in two days! I didn’t want to have to take down my cameras etc and I found in the system setup an export and import option. I was able to export my original configuration from the damaged screen to the new screen and all four cameras popped on immediately after restart! The book gives u step by step instructions. I really don’t understand the issue here! This is a great set for the price and easily expandable. I am going to get at least one more camera. I stand by my original review! I love this system! I love this system. Hands down. I previously had just an older Uniden system, but Thursday our shed was in the middle of being burglarized when we inadvertently scared them away by turning on a bathroom light. Pulled the video and nothing usable. Ordered this immediately and am kicking myself for not doing it earlier. I know it’s odd to say it’s customizable but it truly is. There are alarms for each camera and area. The screen is extremely clear and and a perfect size for what we need. The picture, super clear and the camera has no lag or skipping in playback to monitor. Shipping was two day prime and the unit was packed tightly and securely for shipment. If you are trying to decide between a few different units, forget about them and definitely do your self a favor and spend the money here! So worth it.

I have had this system since 2018. 4 cameras mounted, the furthest camera away has good signal (62), the midway point camera has a signal of (22) continuously disconnects and reconnects, I am unable to back up video on a USB, Also over the last 5 years I have not been able to update the firm ware!!!, for the last 5 days I have been trading e-mails with Cromorc support and everything that they have had me try will not let me update the firm ware. So inconclusion over the last 5 years I have tried everything to get this system to work resulting in complete failure on the company and system from Cromorc.

I believe in giving credit where credit is due. the system works good the night vision is as good as it gets. the day time vision could not be any better (except the cameras stope every once and awhile for about 30 to 60 sec. makes what ever is going by stop and start moving.) ( NOW) the part that makes me rate this system low. I had a problem and sent a email to cromorc. told them about it I got a reply they wanted pic of it there were lines across the screen this was on night view. I sent another email told them just what it was doing. got another reply asking about spider webs. i told them i felt like i was getting the runaround . did not hear any more from them. a friend told me what to do he knows all about this kind of systems. there is no customer service with this system. there is one other thing the big nut on the mounting plate will not tighten up. that is with all of them i have 8 cameras now and all are that way.
