Ordered this couch and wound up having to contact the seller for a replacement since the first one came with two of piece B and no piece A. In the second one, I got the right pieces and was able to put it together. It is pretty sturdy and comfortable enough. I like the ability to recline it like you would a beach chair and it uses the same kind of mechanism where you lean forward to tilt back. The seller was actually pretty easy to deal with and I was happy with the service of getting the replacement I needed.

We really like this futon! This is definitely a great deal for a quality, comfortable futon. It actually appears to be larger in person than in the pictures! It is well thought out in design and functionality. My son put it together by himself, but he said it’s much easier to have two people do it. Doable for one, but more difficult that way. I love the fact that you can adjust the arm rests for when you turn it into a bed! And it’s really easy to do so - you simply unzip the back, pull down a set of legs (which is so smart! It balances out the weight much better than a standard futon), and push the back of the couch down. It’s nice and even and not like most where you now have a strange gap, or bump in the middle. I actually think it’s more comfortable as a couch than it is as a futon, but that may be because I’m only 5’ 2 ½” tall. It’s good as a couch for my size if I sit far back on it, but that’s just my personal opinion. It is definitely firm. The material is really nice, and it’s a lovely rich green, as shown. The only issue I have with it, is it is really difficult to unzipper. The first time, we had to use a pair of pliers. It was less difficult the second time, but still not like it should be. However, I think that is a fluke. Should it break, I will update, but I don’t think it will (at least I hope not - we really like this so much!) We’re going to try rubbing wax on the zipper as that usually fixes zippers that stick. That being said, I never thought I’d recommend a futon (because they are generally so uncomfortable) but here we are - HIGHLY recommended!!

This is a fantastic futon! It has a great mid-century look to it and the burnt orange color is really nice pop of color. The futon came in a surprisingly small box. The pieces were nested inside each other. It took me (45 year old female) about 30 mins to assemble on my own. I found it very straightforward, but it's useful to watch the assembly video on this listing first. The futon is relatively hard, but that's good if it is being used to sleep on. It's not a soft and fluffy sofa! The fabric is a short pile micro suede type feel. I definitely wouldn't call it velvet. The fabric has a slight texture pattern to it which I think will be great for hiding small marks or stains! Overall I'm really impressed!

There are a lot of features I love about this futon and then some drawbacks. Love the color. It is a rust color, very 70’s/retro/boho. Could go with quite a few room decor styles. The fabric is listed as suede. It is not true suede, but it does resemble it. More like a micro-fiber. Wipes down great! Soft and smooth. Assembly was ok. It took two people and at some times three people to put it together. The instructions were great and very clear. Had all the tool and parts needed to put it together. The holes are all pre-drilled and ready to go. I would recommend putting this together in the space you want to have it. It is a bit awkward to move around because of the joints in the back of the futon move. So carrying it up the stairs, you may have a cushion/back piece move on you. There is a zipper in between the two cushions… the bottom and back. Nothing can get lost and the stay together. A major drawback are the legs. Some are not very sturdy. They mount easy, but be gentle with them in moving the piece and do not put uneven pressure on them. Two people should carry it into place. The frame seems sturdy with solid wood and metal. Just feel stronger legs would have made it perfect. Two middle legs… metal. Four outside legs …plastic. Two back futon mount U legs… metal. Probably not a high traffic everyday piece…. Definitely just for sitting or laying on. No jumping or crazy activities. Great for a time. Perfect for a college dorm room, teenage room, music studio, creative space or office. Cushions seem to be a nice heavy foam. The back cushions are tufted which give the impression they will hold shape well. Armrests lay back some to make a head rest ”pillow-like” angle and they pop back up with a small pull into place. They are not for “resting” your arm on though. More for style. It is quite a spacious and versatile piece. I was not expecting how big it was. Can fit comfortably three adults when in couch mode. It does have a recline mode that could be fun for movie watching. The futon sleeping mode could hold two average adults. The back bars support it into futon mode. Those bars are in a nice hidden zipper compartment on the back and are really sturdy when in place. Note: We had a hard time figuring out how to get the back to go back up to couch mode form futon mode, you almost have to give the back of the futon a gentle toss and then it clicks into place. For those that are not sure how it will arrive… the whole futon comes in a 36x 23 x23 box. Two people can bring it in the house easily. Again, I recommend that you put it together in the place that it will be. Less cumbersome to carry it into place. Overall, a good piece of furniture for the simple space or starter piece. Nothing fancy or long term. gave it four stars just because the legs could be better.
