I read quite a bit of reviews on this costume before ordering. First of all, it shipped super fast and everything was exactly as pictured. I knew the skirt was going to be thin, but no worries! The one and only downfall was the awful, I mean awful smell of the skirt. I do not recall reading other reviews regarding the smell. The smell was so bad that I stuck it right in the washer on gentle. I got it out and it still had an odor to it. So I drenched (okay not totally) the skirt in frebreeze and hung it to dry! I have tried the skirt on and the shirt I am leaving everything wrapped until Halloween. I read many of the reviews I am normally a medium and ordered an extra large and everything is perfect. I will say the skirt does have an odd odor and needs to be aired out for sure but this is a lot of products for your money! Normally when I buy a costume I still have to buy other items or omit items I am going to use every single item and not need anything else. I was invited to an 80s themed party and this set is exactly what I wanted!! The accessories and the outfit were so on point as was the fit! The only draw back was the skirt (not pictured) being too thin…it had no life so I had to buy another one to pair with the shirt. Also the little rubber “bangles “ were too small to wear so I had to find that elsewhere as well. The shirt was definitely true to size and fit very well ( I was nervous given that I’m pretty busty). This outfit is extremely comfortable as well as cute. I purchased the size xxl after I read other reviews about the sizing. I normally wear a large to xl for shirts. I’m 5’7 and weigh 220 for reference. The shirt is soft and comfortable to hang out in. The leg warmers fit perfectly and the tutu sits well on my hips without being tight plus there is extra stretch if needed. All the accessories were awesome, but the waistband of the skirt was tight for the stated size. I had to clip it with scissors..but I was still cute. The bracelets were made for a child or someone with extremely dainty hands..but I wore my own. My students loved it.
