This bed frame is of a price to quality ratio deserving of 5 stars, but loses one for poor instructions. I've been sleeping, and doing the other things one (or two, more to the point) does on a bed with this frame for about a week. It was fairly easy to put together, despite the instructions trying to get by on illustrations alone. It seems to me that in the age of AI large language models, it should be easy to competently describe things in English. But these had no worded instructions at all. Just illustrations. One of the support beams was slightly bent out of the box, and I had to bend it back with pliers. I almost initiated a return, because it seemed like the metal might break when I did, but I needed a bed and I determined that there was little enough stress being placed on that lip of the bar that I need not worry about it. This frame does not add to the noise in the room when I exert myself in the bed. It is perfectly quiet, which surprised me after having exerted myself on similarly designed frames in the past that not only creaked, but also rocked. This frame is stable and solid and silent. Using a 12" King sized foam mattress, the height of this frame makes it easy to get in and out of bed, while still providing storage space beneath the bed. It's not much to look at, but it's not designed or priced to be. If you want something to make your room prettier, you'll have to spend more on something else. But if you want a discreet, sturdy, inexpensive bed frame to keep your mattress of the ground without drawing attention to itself, you won't regret choosing this one. ... show more

This bed frame is very sturdy. Had some issues with the first piece getting together from the instructions but once I figured that out, it was pretty easy and smooth. The video on this is much more clear. No additional tools needed except I did use pliers to turn the Allen wrench to tighten it. I am a middle aged woman w some DYI know how and did it myself. I ordered 3 of these in twin size. My only issue is that they are twin XL length. But assembly was quick and easy - maybe 15 minutes. They seem very sturdy, and I absolutely love that they have the little inserts to keep the mattress from sliding around. very nice. I bought one for my son and it looks so good, he can put things under the bed and get things out the way. There are little stop locks to prevent the bed from sliding back and forth, its high up but not too high to climb up. Its stable and dont shake.
