Bought this thinking it would be quiet (since it's in the name). It is not quiet at all- even in Sleep mode. It cools my room effectively but it makes so much noise that it is not worth it, in my opinion.

I bought this thinking it was a quiet unit. It's NOT. This thing is loud. I keep it in my bedroom and everytime it turns on and off (automatically), it wakes me up. The fan itself is loud PLUS the ac compressor adds extra noise. It also rattles a little, even though I've tried readjusting it many times and putting it on a flat area. I wish I could return this but I've waited too long. Remote is also not the best. No lit screen. Every time you press a button, it makes a loud beep sound which doesn't silence even when you're in sleep mode. Sleep mode just lowers the fan speed. The AC / air quality/coolness is good though ... show more
