I just invested in a really good grill and smoker, and while I have covers for both, I wanted this to protect both them AND me from the elements. It took me about an hour, maybe a little more, to assemble it. The instructions aren't that bad, all the diagrammed pictures help more than the written instructions. I have enough room for both my gravity fed grill and my stand up smoker under it and still have room to move around, and the side shades are really easy to put up and let down as the sun moves. I still keep the covers on the grill and smoker when I'm not using them because both have electrical components that I don't want getting wet, and this is an open sided canopy, not an enclosed tent. Rain could, of course, still get in the sides. This is just a wonderful looking added layer of overhead and side protection with the side covers dropped, and the shelves are SOOOOOO handy when cooking. It even has some little magnetic led lights that can be stuck anywhere as needed and a center hook to hang a light on if needed. I am not 100% positive where I'm going to keep my setup on the patio, so for now I have the legs all anchored with tent sand bags. So far no issues with moving or flipping, and it's been through some stiff wind gusts, but I'm sure it's the bags that have held it. I'd make sure it's anchored somehow. I'm just so darn happy with how neat and clean this makes my outdoor cooking area look. ... show more

I ordered the Garvee 8x5 Grill Gazebo Outdoor BBQ Canopy from Garvee in the Khaki color. This gazebo has completely upgraded my outdoor grilling setup. The size is perfect for covering my grill while still giving me plenty of room to move around comfortably. It creates a nice shaded area, which makes a big difference when cooking outside, especially during warmer days. The double-tier canopy design is a great feature because it helps with airflow and keeps smoke from building up while grilling. I also like that it offers protection from both sun and light rain, so I can use it in different weather conditions without worrying. The adjustable side awnings are one of my favorite parts. Unfortunately, this gazebo has missing most of hardwares and could not install it. However, tge tent is made with high-quality waterproof fabric which is UV protective as well. Frame needs improvement

    • Shade, Storage, and No More Sunburn While Grilling

I didn’t realize how much I was fighting the sun until I set this up and suddenly wasn’t squinting like I was in a staring contest with it. This gazebo gives a solid amount of shade over the grill area, and the double-tier design seems to help with heat and smoke instead of trapping everything underneath. The frame feels sturdy once it’s all assembled, and thankfully it doesn’t wobble every time there’s a light breeze. Being able to adjust the side awnings depending on where the sun is hitting is really nice, especially in the middle of the day. The shelves are also pretty handy. I’ve been using them to keep utensils, sauces, and whatever else I don’t feel like running back inside for. The hooks are perfect for hanging tools where I can easily grab them. Assembly took a bit of time, so this isn’t something you casually throw together in 20 minutes, but once it’s up, it feels like it’s meant to stay there. There’s even a hook for a light, which I didn’t think I’d care about until I ended up grilling later in the evening and actually needed it. It’s turned my grill setup into a more functional space instead of just a lonely corner of the yard, and I’m definitely using it more now that it’s not a battle against the elements. It hasn't rained since I've set this up, but I did take the water hose to it and didn't notice any issues with leakage underneath, but the width may not keep rain from sliding in from the sides.
