I use this for cutting out neck holes for tunics and when I need to draw perfect circles for different projects. I am sticking the tack (included) through my wool ironing mat so I need to keep a hand on it while tracing out the circle. This is a personal preference and the product itself is amazing. Is this item horrid? No. Could it be so much better for the price? Yes. On light items (most wood) the lines are difficult to see. It would improve the product immensely had they darkened in the recessed areas to allow better visibility while using. I use it occasionally, however is easier to find the center using other methods in most cases. It may be what you need. It is far from what I was expecting and not as easy as other methods. ... show more

    • It’s metric, not 1/2” increments as advertised. Useless, will return it.
This product clearly describes the feature of 1/2” increments so you can quickly draw a 3” circle, for example. The increments (small holes) are 10mm apart, not 1/2”. It is useless for me, as I work in inches.
