These heat erasable pens with refills are a great price. My only issue was lack of instructions as to which end to insert the cartridge into. It does not work from top insertion. I’ve been using heat erasable pens for fabric for a while now, and I have to say, I’m genuinely impressed. These pens offer an easy and reliable way to mark fabric for quilting, embroidery, or any project that requires accuracy. The ink glides smoothly onto fabric, making it simple to draw precise lines or write notes without any smudging. One of the best features is how the ink disappears with heat. A quick pass with an iron, or even a blow from a hairdryer, and the marks vanish completely—no trace left behind. This makes them perfect for temporary markings that need to be erased quickly once you’re done with the design. The ink shows up clearly on most fabrics, including lighter tones and medium colors, making it versatile across a variety of projects. While it can be a bit tricky on very dark or textured fabrics, it works excellently on cotton, linen, and other common quilting materials. What stands out most is the precision and convenience. I was curious how these would do, but was pleasantly surprised! They wrote well and the lines are thin enough that it would be covered my embroidery in most cases. The white even worked surprisingly well. It seemed dull at first, but dried brighter. The iron removed the marked immediately, although the white didn’t remove completely. However if using the white on a black or very dark color, you wouldn’t be able to notice the residual marks (I tested on a saturated bright blue).

These are great for working on multiple colors of fabrics, easily disappear with a hair dryer. SO many refills!!!! Love this! Great value and won't be reordering for a long, long time. The write easily and last well for entire project of embroidery

I have had these for a year now and they worked pretty well in the beginning. Some refills did not work but not too bad for a while. In the last few months, I cannot get any of the refills to work any more. Totally useless. I won't be buying these again since the majority will have to be thrown away.

This was my 2nd order of these. I was hoping for a better outcome this time around. First of all, I love the concept of these vs chalk. But I have two issues with them. 1) I can only get about half of them to work! I’m baffled. Tried everything I can think of to get them to work but nothing. 2) The white ink leaves a mark after ironed off. I thought it might be my choice of fabric but it happens on all. I will probably continue to throw money away with these unless I can find another producer of them where they actually work. I just do not like using chalk.
