I am sooo excited to have found these and that someone made this fix exist! The people who flipped the house we bought made everything look great on the surface, but after spending time living here and looking at everything in detail slowly and letting details sink further in, we found that they cut a TON of corners. Our pergola and deck only have enough brackets to keep it held together, but nothing (even though they sit on cement) on the bottoms or where it needs the most support for it to hold up in the long term rather than just for a couple years. Not being a very strong person and having a wife who works full time meant we were going to have to hire someone to rebuild our pergola soon. NOT ANYMORE! With these brackets, we can now add support to the structure without having to tear the whole thing down, and they should buy us several more years! Solid solution for a multitude of situations. Every side is square with smooth corners and edges. All edges are square with bends smooth and square. All holes are smooth and uniform. Hole locations are consistent, leaving plenty of clearance for different sizes of screws or lags. Coated with a decent coat of paint that is thick and it covers every inch of all surfaces. Solid and sturdy addition to a problem post or to really fasten a new one. Over built in every way which makes the value for your buck outstanding. It fit my old 4X4 post without issue.
