These are great if you don't want to go the route of putting something like concrete slabs in the ground Easy to get into the soil. I used a 20lbs hammer and a piece of wood to hammer them into ground We bought 4x4 (3.5x3.5 actual) and 8ft tall. And they are sturdy

These things install SUPER easy into grass or other soft surfaces, They are a little tougher to install into tougher surfaces (like gravel) you van do it but you're swinging that sledge pretty good, they can also spin a little driving them into harder surfaces. but they hold great, I needed to put up a 'fence' in an area I can't dig and put concrete, so these worked well. They obviously don't hold as well as a properly set post, but they worked for me. ... show more

Straight forward and good craftsmanship on the holder/spike itself. Half of the hardware (nuts/bolts) to secure the post to the holder were missing. Per the listing description & the price, “hardware included”, not a show stopper just disappointing.

The fins are slightly bent so they don’t hammer in straight. Had to dig a hole 1/2 way to get the 4 posts to line up straight. Would still recommend
