    • Completely Eradicated Indoor Fungus Flies in Houseplants, all colors are yellow!
Brought a live basil plant home and an infestation of fungus flies took over into all my other potted plants and invaded my apartment. Looked online for a solution and found these sticky traps. Discarded the basil plant, then used an entire pack, placing one or two into every houseplant pot that I had left. By morning, the sticky traps had entrapped hundreds of flies, and within two weeks I don't notice even one fly in my apartment anymore, but the traps were loaded with dead flies. When I had watered my plants before the traps, I stirred up swarms. When I watered again, after using the traps about three weeks now, I didn't see even one fly! So, I I'd say that they work great. The only negative, for which I took off one star, is the (non-sticky) 'pointy' base was flimsy and did not easily penetrate the soil in the pots, even those with pretty loose soil. I had to use a letter opener to dig a little trench/slot to put them in, it was just a little bit cumbersome. Could improve with a more rigid base (or just a toothpick-like stem). At first I was skeptical and was looking for a chemical-enhanced trap. But the ones I looked at online said they release toxins into the air and should only be used for short periods, so I decided on these sticky, inexpensive and non-toxic traps instead, and happy that I did. One note, though various colors were offered, I think they are ALL yellow, the 'color' only means different shapes in actuality. I ordered 'orange' and got yellow chicks, as was pictured. So, you can order any shape, but as for color, they are all yellow. It appears this erroneous color description may have been fixed on some of the Amazon listings. Bottom line, they completely eradicated my in-home fungus fly infestation, and I would purchase them again, if needed. These sticky pads definitely catch a lot of tiny flies that comes from the potting soil. They only work next to the plants. I have put some in other places the flies fly off to, but have caught none. I first started using them when I had trouble getting seedling to grow. They kept dying. Little flies were everywhere and I saw wiggling in the dirt. The sticky pads saved the next set of seedlings. Very easy to use! Extremely sticky!!! I bought these to deal with a problem with fungus gnats that came in the soil of a potted plant I recently purchased. They were swarming all over the plant and I did not know how I was going to stop the breeding cycle if I couldn’t squish them all. Solution? I inserted a number of these sticky traps in the soil around the plant. Within 24 hours, the traps were COVERED with gnats!! There is so much surface area on the traps and they are so sticky that they work for a very long time. I kept the traps in the soil for 2 weeks to be on the safe side and I am happy to report I no longer have issues with fungus gnats on my plant. The instructions recommend you refrigerate the sticky traps prior to using since they tend to be very gooey otherwise. I definitely recommend following this step. Also, if possible, I recommend always storing the remaining unused traps in the refrigerator. I still have plenty left in my order, but if I need more in the future, I will definitely buy these again! ... show more

I have many houseplants and have started my veggie seedlings for the year. Unfortunately the potting soil came with unwanted house guests in the form of fungus gnats. The awful things can walk right across packing, masking, and duct tapes so I decided to try these. Those gnats never stood a chance. In three days I went through 6 of the sticky traps, they would keep catching until they were black with bugs and I swapped them out. The gnats are now gone and I'm a happy camper! ... show more

Our cat has acne! The traps are easy to use, very sticky, and catch gnats as intended. Bonus: you get the cutest little shovel to dig a hole for the traps lol. Not necessary, but very fun!

These are truly a great item to have especially if you own houseplants or a indoor vegetable garden the gnats/flies/mosquitoes etc get attracted to the yellow color and fly to it and get stuck and can't move, great to use no chemicals are dispersed into the air.
