At the like $17 for 25ft of 8 gauge it is a great price, wouldn't pay the other prices for their other wire options tho. I'm a little skeptical of this wire for a couple reasons. I know copper at different temps or other forms will be this red in color, but I have bought many different brands and sizes of ofc and only this and a 4 gauge ofc I got for $40 were this dark and the only 2 that were way cheaper than competitors. It's obviously not cca, but I did buy some battery cable ends that were copper alloy that look this dark. Copper alloy can be lower in copper content like 68-96%, or high copper alloy at 96-99% and depending what they add as the other metals can make it look this darker color brass. I believe none of the copper alloys use aluminum and have a waaay higher copper content, so still better conductivity than cca. As long as this is in high copper alloy category I'm good with that price, and if it is ofc even better. The other thing that makes me skeptical is most other companies don't put 100% pure copper, ofc wire is copper, it's the c of ofc. Plus they don't say anywhere what % of the wire is oxygen free like most the others. Maybe it's higher in oxygen than others so to skirt that issue they put the % of copper that copper is. I did measure length and width for gauge, and was slightly over 25ft, I don't have a proper width measuring tool, but seems at least the minimum for 8 gauge might be slightly over as well.

For the price, I assumed that like most options out there this was actually copper clad aluminum wire, however upon closer inspection, it does appear to actually be oxygen free copper core wire. Used to wire up a "big three" upgrade 2oth terminals I had laying around. Would definitely get again.

Matching this cable with quality crimp on connectors and you will have good amp volt transfer with less heat from resistance.
