Hatched 8 turkey eggs no problem. It was a bit small once they hatched, but did suffice. I was only using the one time for turkey eggs. The only thing missing is a way to turn off egg turn function without removing tray. The gear still spins. Worried about little foot getting caught. Plus eggs rolled quite a bit without tray. So it would be perfect if you could just turn off egg turn function and leave tray in.

This incubator isn't the best we have used, but it worked okay. It's always hard to tell when eggs don't hatch, whether it was an incubator issue or a fertilization issue. Some other reviews mentioned the top doesn't fit well to the base, and I found that ours seemed to fit okay, but maybe not perfectly, and that may have been our issue.

I haven’t had the chance to use this incubator yet, but I can already tell it’s built with good quality in mind. It feels sturdy and durable, not flimsy like some of the smaller models I looked at. The compact size makes it easy to place anywhere, but it still holds up to 18 eggs, which is perfect for what I need. What really sold me were the features—automatic egg turning and humidity control. Those can make such a big difference for successful hatching and take away a lot of the guesswork. I also like that it can be used for different types of eggs—chicken, quail, duck, goose, even parrot—so it’s very versatile. The digital display looks simple to read, and the design seems beginner-friendly but also reliable enough for more experienced use. I’m excited to try it out soon and have high hopes that it will work as well as it looks. This seems like a great option whether you’re using it at home, on a small farm, or even in a classroom setting.

I will start by saying that I am extremely critical on incubators. Eggs are so delicate and the smallest change or the slightest thing could be just barely off and it could be detrimental to your eggs. With that being said, I went into testing this incubator with fairly high hopes. On initial inspection, there seemed to be quite a few positives. I LOVED that there was a cancel alarm button. The water bottles seemed to be pressure sensitive. This way I don’t spill half the water out flipping the bottle over and trying to get it in its spot. These bottles don’t release water until the float piece is pressed. This seemed pretty genius initially, but it never seemed like it let out the correct amount of water. The egg turner seemed solid and was easy to remove and install. The display was user friendly and pretty straightforward. But here’s the thing, none of that matters if the top doesn’t fit securely to the base. The smallest gap or misalignment can throw off temperature and humidity. This can give you “hot spots” or “cool spots” which will absolutely affect the hatch rate of your eggs. I had this running for just about a week while I played with or adjusted the water bottles in multiple variations and I couldn’t get the humidity to hold at a stable percentage. The humidity reading on the machine was also consistently 6-8 degrees lower than where my hygrometer was measuring it. I also moved my hygrometer around the incubator to get the most accurate percentage throughout the machine or see if there were any dips or spikes. I will say that the temperature did stay pretty consistent throughout the machine even with the lid not fitting securely. The surface exposed when removing the egg tray for hatching is extremely slick. This provides no traction for your babies and will result in a ton of splay legs which is very difficult to correct and will lead to a bunch of chicks that need culling. Now, that can be fixed by putting down some neoprene like material that you line fridge shelves with, and that will provide your chicks the traction your chicks need for development. However, the chicks will still have access to where the water flows for the humidity. I can absolutely see (specifically quail) chicks getting a leg in that moat area then not being able to get that leg out which would again lead to an unnecessary loss of chicks. I, personally, will never put a batch of eggs in this unit nor would I recommend it.

So initially the combination of features on this unit had me very excited. The stoppers on the water bottles, the control features such as the alarm cancel and the simple display. The egg turner construction. However, as I put it together to test it I noticed that the top doesn't fit securely to the base. I have puttered with this and played with it, and nothing I do seems to make it so I get a snug fit that stays put. This concerns me a great idea, as having a secure fit for the lid to the base is critical in controlling the temperature and humidity. I'm giving it three stars for the features included, but I'm not pleased with the top fit issues.

This is a great kit for incubation eggs! I love that it comes with everything needed and the instruction manual is very detailed. I have plugged it in and made sure it worked and humidity was good on it but seeing as its going into fall right now, I'm not fully testing the 'hatchability' of it right now. If I run into any issues (not likely with the small test I did already) I'll update then!
