I love this ac unit. It works great and has a quiet mode. The fan is fantastic. Even on the lowest setting i can feel the air movement from across the room. It cools very well. I've reached the lowest setting of 62°. It's taking a bit to get used to the remote control, there's a slight learning curve there. Lol Its very easy to clean the filters. The front cover comes all the way down (on hinges) to get the filters out with ease. It was very easy to install. We bought a screen making kit from Menards and made a new screen. You might need to get some window insulation foam and cut pieces to fit any gaps. The one big problem that I have would be with the delivery. It was quite damaged. Most of the damage is on the outside section, so we don't have to look at it constantly,. It just looks bad from outside. The damage tweeked the whole unit. We decided to install it anyway to check out the performance. We loved it so....... When it rains the water pools at the damaged corner on top. I don't know about the energy efficiency yet. Also, as seen in pic, my cat(s) are happy to still have their window and im happy that I can have fresh air whenever I want it. Like I said I love this air conditioner I just wish it wasn't damaged.

The AC makes a very weird popping sound when you first turn it on. It almost rattles the window, so it’s very jarring. Also, it was quiet upon a couple days of usage. However, it starts to get a lot louder for some reason, even on the quietest setting.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: Very quiet and cools really well. We use it for the main rooms of our house. Functionality: Easy to install and operate. 4 stars because it does have a drain I have to empty once in a while but it has easy access to drain.

Having spent all summer using this unit in my room, it is definitely what I was looking for! The quiet mode is actually low enough to not be picked up by my microphone after filters are applied. My old unit would get by the heaviest noise canceling filters to the point where you couldn't even hear me, OR I'd sound like Optimus prime. Remote is ir so you do have to be point it at the unit, or in my case a mirror to get it around my bookshelf 😂 My only gripe with this model is that the screen doesn't turn off while the unit is on. I like to sleep in silence and darkness, and this thing lights up my entire room at night 😭 Worth while purchase, it did get a mildew stink to it twice on days where I had it running at max for over 8 hours. But that went away after letting it sit for a day. Persisted even after cleaning the drain so I still have no idea what the actual issue was. Regardless it has not come back with moderate use, or leaving it in eco mode all day!

This is a great unit with a full function, remote control that is very user-friendly and has numerous customizable settings. It mounts in the window, very secure with locking bolts and rubber feet and only leaves your window open. 4 inches once you install some wood blocking in the window no one can ever get in. One thing of note is that the condensation water from this unit does get pumped out by a small pump located in the pan and you will hear it every 30 minutes or so so don’t be alarmed. It is normal.

UPDATE!!! After a couple of months use the smell of musty mildew air is coming out. I cleaned the filter almost daily. It stinks so bad. I called Amazon. They said the manufacturer has a one year warranty., but since it’s an Amazon product or Amazon pick whatever he said I need to call Insurion and have it serviced. And apparently this is going to be an ongoing thing. 🤬🤬 DO NOT BUY THIS!! It is loud! And when it clicks on it hums, but then there’s a sudden almost like loud, vibrating pop that literally shakes the window. I am not going through all of the trouble it would take to remove it from the window and return it. But I definitely would not recommend this, especially if it’s for your bedroom.! it wakes me up multiple times during the night, but I’m sure I’ll get used to it. And the positive side it does keep the room cool.
