  • Was not expecting it to work that good.
Size: EF-SE Lens Adapter
Tested on Sony FX30 body. Did not update the 7Artisans adapter. Straight out of the box. Tested with Canon, Sigma, and Rokinon glass. All EF mount. Worked perfectly with everything Canon. (70-200mm; 18-135mm; 24mm; 50mm; 18-55mm) Worked with the Rokinon as well. However my Rokinon is a Cine lens, so it doesn't come with AF. That worked as well as it does on my Canon R6m2. However, the Sigma 35mm 1.4 DG - Auto focus does not work. It breathes constantly. It seems confused on what to do. So only manual will work. Hope this helps someone else. ... show more

  • Sigma 18-35mm on a Sony FX30
Size: EF-SE Lens Adapter
I desperately wanted this to work. I love the Sigma 18-35mm lens. Though the lens fits and might work for photography, it's just not working for video. It continually tries to focus but does not stay focused. I tried upgrading the adaptor, but the 7Artisans website does not have any available for download. ... show more

  • Seems to work perfectly with Canon lenses and with about 75% of my manually adapted lenses
Size: EF-SE Lens Adapter
I shoot mostly on older canon DSLRs - 5DSR and 5DIII (with ML). I wanted to get an adapter which would allow me to use all my existing (formerly expensive) canon lenses with a new Sony mirrorless body I picked up for testing. I really like the Sony implementation of focus peaking, so this new A7RIII is really well suited to using with older MF lenses such as Pentax Super Takumars and Voigtlanders etc. After testing I can confirm that all of the native Canon EF lenses I tried it with worked perfectly - including, but not limited to: 16-33mm f/2.8 III, 70-200mm f/2.8 IS II, 85mm f/1.2. Manual lenses were a little more hit and miss, but still decent. I will update this with examples of manual lenses once I get the camera back from monochrome conversion! ... show more

  • Gets the job done
Size: EF-SE Lens Adapter
It does the job just fine. Sometimes some lenses might be a little too tight.

  • Saved me so much money
Size: EF-SE Lens Adapter
I can't tell you how many dollars this saved me. I have a Canon with many lenses because they were always so much more affordable and had great options. My Sony a6000 only has the one that came with it and I'm hesitant to buy any more due to the costs. With this adapter I was able to use all my Canon glass and auto focus works really well. There were a few occasions where it struggled to focus quickly but flipping it to manual focus and back, typically corrected the issue. ... show more

  • Works, but autofocus support is spotty.
Size: EF-SE Lens Adapter
It works well for transmitting lens data and setting aperture. However autofocus doesnt work with my Canon EF 75-300mm f/4-5.6 III USM. I have tried updating and downgrading the firmware to each version, but it still didnt work. If you are considering this, be certain that your exact lens model is on the support list, or you might not have autofocus - even if it seems similar to a supported lens. I tried emailing 7Artisans for support, however they haven't responded to me. I will change my review when they contact me to fix this issue. Update: 7artisans has still not contacted me to solve the issues. I have tried another lens, a Canon EF-S 17-85mm f/4-5.6 IS USM and autofocus works. I wouldn't suggest this adapter if your exact lens model isn't explicitly listed as being supported. ... show more

  • Returned with the hour of receiving it.
Size: EF-SE Lens Adapter
Does not work with my Sony NEX-5. Purchased this so I could use my collection of Canon and Tamron EF mount prime lenses with the Sony NEX-5. As you can see from the picture it did not work at all. 3 of 4 times I tried (with several lenses) I got this message. Once it actually connected by the AF didn't work at all. I had much better luck (although not great) with the Geordgy adapter. ... show more

  • Not good on my Sony a6500
Size: EF-SE Lens Adapter
On my a6500 it simply does not pass through the right f / aperture value to the camera so the photos are underexposed on a variable aperture lens. I have tried this with the wonderful ef-s 55-250mm IS STM lens and it will often have trouble finding the right focus too. This is in PDAF mode. Per the instructions, I can switch to CDAF mode. When doing this, it seems to find focus a bit better, it sets proper exposure (f / aperture value is correctly sent to camera) BUT.... it loses eye AF and loses the image stabilization. What's strange is the image stabilization seems to get activated AFTER the photo is taken never at half shutter button nor when the photo is taken. I will say that it seems to work fine for the ef-s 24mm f2.8 prime lens, but definitely fails on the 55-250mm zoom. i did send a note to 7artisans but haven't receive any sort of response. 2 stars since it doesn't work well on my a6500 with zoom, but does seem to work with 24mm prime. ... show more
