Average cost of a plumber snaking your line is $150-200, and finding them available is frustraring!! I've used this machine 3 times and everytime successful! Paid for itself already! Simple functions, forward backward. 75ft reach is perfect for longer sewer lines to house structures. Simple to retract. Remember, this is a manual forward, which means you insert the snake until you feel resistance, then you activate the forward function. If it gets stuck, you reverse function. To retract, it's also manual. DO NOT REVERSE WHEN RETRACT. IT Will coil itself while you insert it back in it's drum. Nice simple machine, helpful when needed. I would advise anyone looking at this to take 10 minutes and learn how to use it. The reverse switch is not for removing the snake. It's in the rare occasion that the snake gets jammed. The motor directions were labeled properly on my system. The mounting screws were loose on mine, so make sure they are tight. The air switch worked fine for me. And let me tell you, if you have ever rented an industrial snake and tried to haul it up and down stairs, this is a treat in comparison. ... show more

All of the drain cleaners I have reviewed or used all have a way to fasten the cable down with a bolt . This unit does not. This only allows the cable to flop around, not sure how on Earth it would clear anything this way
