This post hole digger worked exactly as expected. I used the 8-inch auger to plant several fruit trees on my property, and it drilled clean holes much faster than I anticipated. The handles are comfortable to hold, and having two people operate it made the job even easier when the ground got tougher. I also like that it comes with both auger sizes, the extension rod, and the fuel mixing bottle, so I didn't need to buy any extra accessories. I like it. Easily Beats digging by hand. It cuts through soil like butter. I’m having trouble with debris…. I’m not sure what could be down there...😩😩… but it eats through soil like it is nothing. It will snatch the “ SNOT “ of your arms, elbows, and wrist when I catches on something. But I mean it’s about 72cc…. Ya kno…. Anywhose, 4 out of 5.

I bought this earth auger to install a new backyard fence, and it saved me a lot of time compared to digging by hand. The 72cc engine has plenty of power and had no problem getting through hard clay soil. I used the 6-inch bit for fence posts, and the extension rod made it easy to reach the depth I needed. It started after a couple of pulls and ran smoothly the whole afternoon. Everything needed for assembly was included, so setup was quick. Definitely a solid choice if you have multiple holes to dig.

I purchased this unit for a deck I was building and used it for both 4x4 and 4x6 applications and it worked GREAT! Take your time! Unit slows down when it hit large rocks and appears to stop digging. Remove the rock and it starts again. Really worked well, very pleased.
