  • A good all around Auger🙂
Model: 62CC
There sure are a bunch of these post holed diggers out there for sale. Reviews have been mixed. This 62 cc auger came very well packaged. I was missing nothing. Set up was easy, put fuel into it started on second pole. And every subsequent pull after that without issue.A lot of the reviews that I read, are of people who should not be using this product because they DON’Tknow how to use it. Hire somebody versus giving a bad review on a product that you don’t know how to use.Eg (Don’t dig with the 8” Auger to the full 36” and expect to pull it out of the ground. Come on. That’s operator error. And then give a one star review on the product you don’t know how to use. You know who you are. For me, I have had zero issues with this post hole digger. I live outside of Hot Springs Arkansas and there’s a lot of small rock in our 10 acres. I have dug several holes with zero issues. Yes you have to manhandle the auger, but that’s what an auger is when you drill into dirt. You’re not drilling into water. You are going to meet some resistance. People also complained about breaking the plastic and breaking the throttle handle. All auger’s have the same throttle and the same plastic on the head of the motor and around the air filter. If you drop the auger, (Yes you) you can expect that something’s going to break. There again if it was all metal and dropped and got bent people would write a poor review about that as well I’m sure. It all has to do with the operator. To sum up, I have had zero issues with this product, it has served my purpose well. ... show more

  • Great Price, Great Quality, Desired Results
Model: 72CC
A neighbor told me (60+ F), he'd help me build an electric fence for a garden. He recommended I rent a posthole digger/auger from a nearby hardware store. After looking at prices, I realized that renting one for two days would cost the same as buying this one. Plus after doing my research, this one has more power. The neighbor and his grandson remarked how much better this one is (they rented when they built their electric fence). The quality, ease of use, the way the machine dug through the clay soil was impressive. It took less than 1/2 hour to dig the first four holes (16" deep") today. We'll finish up the job over the next several days at our pace. Great Purchase! Would recommend two strong people to operate the post hole digger. ... show more

  • Digs well and fast, with a few quirks
Model: 72cc+3 auger(4"6"12")+2 Ext
Have owned this hole digger for 4 months, and have dug about 110 holes for various trees, bushes, berry and grape vines, and assorted ornamentals. PROS: well priced, powerful for its displacement, easy to assemble, has started every time I needed it to, runs consistently. Comes with three augers. CONS: the bottom tines on the augers don’t stand up to heavy soil and bend too easily. When they bend the auger gets erratic and unsafe to use. The solution is to cut off the bent tine. The throttle cable assembly has a bad habit of sticking in the in the ON position when you let off the gas. I don’t know the long term solution yet but the short term is to use a spray lubricant on the cable guide before each use. Stops the sticking and keeps you from losing control of the unit. Overall this is a good unit that has performed well for me once I learned its quirks. The throttle cable sticking is a big deal, that once identified was an easy fix for now. The tine issue was also a surprise, that happened when I hit clay . So, with those in mind you are forewarned to lube that throttle cable and watch those tines. ... show more

  • Worth every penny
Model: 72CC
Amazing bang for the buck! I've dug a few hundred holes with this so far & never had an issue. I live in Texas where soil can be rocky, clay, sandy, or good ole black dirt & this auger deals with it all. It does have a kick to it, fyi. Im 5'10" at 265lbs & it's pushed me around a time or 3. The bits are well made & I've no broken one yet. I do like it comes with 3 sizes & the extension rod as I do some commercial stuff that you need 3-4' holes & various size poles. ... show more

  • Great auger, works well.
Model: 72CC
This post hole digger worked well. It was easy to assemble. We first dug out 4 inches for the hole, then set the auger down. The trick to keeping it from jumping around is to get some top soil removed. And most of all- go down in the hole about a foot or so and bring the auger back up with the dirt, then down the hole again another foot or so, bring up the dirt, and repeat till you reached your depth. That way the auger won’t get stuck in the hole. The post hole digger is a good size to work with and not so heavy. Definitely read instructions and reviews from those who have been used to working with this kind of tool. Definitely use your “elbow grease” (meaning your strength) to control the unit to stay safe and always be aware of your surroundings. ... show more

  • Great post hole digger
Model: 72CC
Although I was a bit skeptical of the price of this auger it actually works great! I bought the 72 cc thinking I might need the extra power but I don't think I did need it. We dug over 30 holes for fence posts and although we did hit a large root and let the auger loose once, it did the job perfectly! The compression is high so it does take a hard pull to start but 1 or 2 pulls did the job each time. Great tool and I would definitely buy again. ... show more

  • Powerful machine.
Model: 72cc+3 auger(4"6"12")+2 Ext
Very powerful tool. It snapped many shear pins? The augers that came with it don't hold up to the power of the machine. We bought a different auger at harbor freight to hold up to the power of it because the machine bent the auger that came with it?We do have some very large rocks in our dirt that we didn't know were there. ... show more
