We just finished installing the 36" wall heater. The installation went smoothly except the omission of "how to" remove the tempered glass on the front area. When working with the glass one must be careful so I reviewed several other sites and one showed a video on how to do this safely (hint: only take the 2-silver screws loose to do this). The crystals are abundant but the tray area can barely hold all of them and the wooden logs together (it took numerous attempts to do this). We are using this wall heater in an office/workshop area of our business and it really adds a professional look to the area and it really warms up the area of our building during the cold days this time of the year.

I really like this unit. I have two complaints, the flame speed isn't adjustable and the remote makes a beep when pressed that my dog doesn't like.

The fireplace itself is aesthetically pleasing and the heat is a nice option for our cold basement media room, however, the touchscreen controls are difficult to see and locate and don’t always work. My biggest gripe is only one button on the remote now works and unfortunately it is not the power button, making turning on/off very inconvenient. (Unfortunately, I am beyond the return window) It would be nice if an option to control via smart phone was available. Now I’ve got a fireplace that looks nice but is difficult to operate. I’m happy to review again if I am provided with a new remote in hopes it renews my confidence in this product overall

The issue that needs explaining, please follow; In the manual page nine is a poorly placed but critical note. The units control panel has springs (antennas) and it seemed like black mesh taped over the springs. On page "9" under Control Panel box is a warning. I think if the unit comes with the taped mesh DO NOT REMOVE, it holds the springs down so when you put on the cover glass it bent all my antennas and the replacement, didn't have the mesh tape so I taped on a thin clear plastic to hold them down while the cover is installed. On pages 5-6 the install can be done by with a surface mount but the recessed method, need another approach. I did a recessed install, read carefully. THERE IS NO WAY FOR LOGS CRYSTALS TO STAY IN ONCE INSTALLED, They fall out, but there is a solution as my video will show. I set the unit and screwed it in to be exactly where I wanted it with the angle brackets. Once I had it perfectly in place, I marked screw placements I removed it put it on it's back. I then cut a sheet of thin plastic, and I have it pictured as well. This is the tricky part. Using packing tape, I put it across the ends out the side so I could detach the tape once the glass is installed and carefully pull up and out the side your plastic log/crystals and the glass will hold them in as the video shows. Pay attention to the taping the plastic to stay but able to release on the ends so you can pull it out. Finally this is a 120 Volt unit, not 220-240v. The amps are 12.5 @ 120 Volt so use a 15 amp dedicated line. I am not able to add the video or photos.
