  • Good low-profile 4K dash cam Good low-profile 4K dash cam
Style: 2160P
Just picked up the 70mai M310 Plus 4K recently and just finished setting it up and testing it out in the car. So far, it’s a solid small camera. The best part is definitely the size. Because it doesn’t have a screen, it hides perfectly behind the rearview mirror, so it stays completely out of your line of sight. I ran a quick test drive and the 4K video quality is really sharp. Even changing light conditions and shadows looked clear enough to easily make out plates. Installation was straightforward and took maybe 5 minutes for me. It comes with 2 static stickes for the windshield so no need to glue anything directly to the glass. I also hooked it up to their 4G hardwire kit right away, which is great if you want 24/7 parking monitoring and remote alerts on my phone. The app connected over Wi-Fi fine to view the test clips, and the voice commands worked without issues when I tried them out. Good first impressions for the price if you want something subtle that gets the job done. Unfortunately it doesn't come with SD card, but taking into account it's price it's pretty reasonable. I'm Planning to take this small dashcam to upcoming vacation, it will take a very little space in my backpack. ... show more

  • Crystal Clear 4K and Super Easy to Set Up! and Affordable!!
Style: 2160P
I am incredibly impressed with this 70mai M310 Plus! The 4K video quality is absolutely stunning, making it easy to read license plates even at high speeds. Night vision is exceptionally clear, which was a huge priority for me. Installation was a total breeze, and the companion app connects flawlessly via WiFi to view or download footage instantly. The voice control feature is a major bonus, allowing me to take quick photos hands-free while driving. G-sensor and loop recording give me complete peace of mind on the road. Truly a top-tier camera for a great price! I may replace my A810! lol. jk ... show more

  • 4 Stars – Great Video Quality, Solid Build, App Setup Could Be Smoother
Style: 1296P
I’ve been using the 70mai M310 dash cam and overall I’m pretty impressed with it. The video quality is very clear, both during the day and in lower light conditions. License plates are readable at reasonable distances, and the footage doesn’t look grainy or washed out. For a compact dash cam, it performs really well. The build quality also stands out. It feels durable and well made, not cheap or flimsy. Once mounted, it stays secure and doesn’t rattle while driving, which is something I’ve experienced with other dash cams in the past. The app has some nice features. One thing I really like is that you can connect directly and view or download footage without having to remove the SD card every time. That’s a big convenience. My only real frustration was the initial app setup. It took a bit of patience to get everything connected properly, and the process wasn’t as smooth as I expected. Once it’s set up, it works fine but the first time pairing could definitely be more user friendly. Overall, it’s a solid dash cam with strong video quality and useful app functionality. If you don’t mind spending a little extra time on setup, it’s a dependable option. ... show more

  • Good dashcam, exceeds its value.
Style: 1296P
Gets the job done. The camera quality is decent, it gets the words correctly in close range, and the recording is pretty nice like 1080p. But the most superior feature is it's audio capture. Easy installation, and it's very discreet. Comes with everything that you need, except for the SD card which you have to provide yourself. Reasonable because of its value. ... show more

  • You Will Have Almost No Control Over Which Videos Get Saved or Deleted.
Every dash camera in the world has a limited memory. A bad dash camera might be able to store only 1 hour of video. A really nice camera might be able to store more than a few day of video. Only video-cameras in the far future can maybe store months or years of video footage. As such, even good dash cameras delete old videos to make room for new videos. Suppose you bus the camera, put the camera your car, and then you go drive around. What is the first thing, you will want to do after you've just had a car accident? Maybe write down a license plate number, call the police, etc. etc. but I mean what is the first thing you would want to do which involves THE CAMERA? Probably, tell the camera to stop deleting old videos. When you are in a car accident, you need to be able press a big red panic button to make sure recent video does not get deleted. That is not how this camera works. This dash camera will delete old video files forever and ever until you upload the video files. This camera is not customizable. This camera does what it wants to. People like you and me, cannot easily decide which videos get permanently saved. This camera has two memories: (1) memory for car accident videos (2) memory for boring video (no accidents) This dash cam (70Mai) automatically decides which videos are of you getting hit by someone else, and which are not. The camera is not super smart, so it often decides incorrectly whether you were just in a car accident or not. Here's one of many kickers: the car accident videos get deleted on a loop, just like the boring videos! If the memory runs out for the car accident video, then it will overwrite the oldest car accident with the newest. Essentially, the camera has two loops: one loop for probably important video loop; and one loop for probably boring video. The main things people will want to do with the camera are: (1) check if the camera is working/recording (2) make sure certain videos do, or do *NOT* get deleted (3) transfer videos from the camera to somewhere else. This dash cam is not designed to do that. The home page of the cellphone app has two buttons: (1) view album (2) take photo. Some features are more important than others. "Do not delete the video of the car accident I was in" is more important than taking a still picture (not a video). Right after a car accident, a still photo probably won't help as much as the video of the other person actually hitting your car. However, the button to take a still picture is the most prominent/easy-to-use button on the home screen of the cellphone app. The emergency video buffer cannot grow in size. It should start off as 0 hours of videos of car accidents. Over time, as you mark videos as "DO NOT DELETE" is should delete boring video to make room for the important video. Instead, this camera always reserves 13 gigabytes of memory for videos of car accidents. If all of your videos are boring, and the buffer of boring video is full, then your boring videos start get overwritten whether you are using the 13GB of memory for important videos or not. These engineers are lazy. They could easily make the memory for important/do not delete videos grow and shrink based on which videos were marked as "DO NOT DELETE." Instead, there is no DO NOT DELETE category at all. There is only a loop of "we think an accident occurred." The important video memory is always 13GB regardless of whether you need more memory, or less memory for important videos You cannot use the camera without proving your email, which is weird. The camera should work and be able to talk to your cellphone, even if the camera, you, and your phone are disconnected from the rest of the internet. It is not as if the camera emails videos to you or anything like that. The email thing serves no purpose. The camera doesn't need your email. There is a password used so that random people cannot view your camera's video feed, but the password is not your email. When the cellphone app asks for your email, they are just fishing for unnecessary contact information so that they can send you junk mail. ... show more

  • The camera works, but it’s very annoying
Here’s my original review, somehow I never hit submit. I originally gave it 5 stars. Now after having it for several months I knocked it down to 3 and no longer recommend it. See the update below. I like this dash cam because it's a simple one, it's reliable and it gets the job done. The video quality may not be the best you've ever seen, but it is good. No problems setting it up or with the app. The packaging was really nice as well. The downsides: * The cable is a little short. I wish the cable that it came with was about 2-3 feet longer. I had to get an extension to reach the nearest outlet. * If you have Car Play and OnStar Wifi, connecting to the camera from the app to access pictures and videos is a little bit of a hassle due to a conflict with Car Play (using an iPhone). In order for me to access the camera from my phone I have to first disable Bluetooth on my phone to disconnect the Car Play app, only then can I connect to the camera from the app. I may not be explaining that 100% accurately, but that's what I have to do in order to view videos and pictures. * The camera often records emergency videos and takes pictures on its own. I think there's a sensitivity issue going on with it. If your radio is on and it thinks it hears "take a picture" it's going to take a picture. Not sure why it often records emergency videos. Aside from these minor issues, it's a great camera, small foot print, and I would recommend it to someone looking for a basic, front view dash cam. UPDATE: after owning this camera for several months now I don’t recommend it. It is taking emergency videos and random pictures all the time now. I’ll probably be throwing this thing out soon and buying a different one. ... show more

  • Wouldn’t connect to app.
Style: 1296P
UPDAtE; The company read the review and offered to send a new device free of charge- with no expectation of an updated review. With the new camera and a different phone, I was able to connect the device and all worked great. Excellent customer service. If you are having issues, contact them before returning and I am sure that they can help. They offered help and persisted in making sure that I was happy with the new camera. It works great and is attached to my car and phone. After watching a YouTube review I ordered this. It was a good price and the resolution was great on the YouTube review video I watched. However, I could never get the app to recognize the camera. I tried everything and reread the instructions several times. Nothing worked after wasting over an hour. Returned it that day. ... show more

  • Works great, great price Works great, great price
Style: 2160P
This dash cam is great for the price, installation is pretty straightforward so long as you have good cable management skills. It’s all in the app which is great but you have to actually turn on the car and connect to it to see the live feed and saved videos which is a little annoying. Connects to your phone fast though. I was thinking the saved videos could be seen. Video quality is fine too, clear enough to see what you need to see, I installed mine a bit too close to the rear view since I wanted a more hidden look but it comes with a spare foam sticker so I’ll fix it eventually. Haven’t been in an accident and won’t (hopefully) but will update if I do 👍 ... show more
