Beautiful fireplace. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because it does noy have a bottom flange for a smooth finish. The craftsmanship required for the right look has to be impeccable and I'm just not that good! I will contact the seller to see if there is a flange available.

I am usually skeptical of purchasing a product that should cost much more. The fireplace is easy to operate and it looks really nice. I just got it and I do hope it lasts, but so far I am quite amazed. With colors to choose from both for the rocks and the flame, there should be a combination to please everyone. Not even 3 months after the replacement was sent its doing the same thing. Heat won't shut off and display shows 8.5. Seller sent me a brand new heater. We have been using it for a little over a week with no issues. Working great and looks great. worked for a day when we got it then would no longer let us adjust the temp. It shows 8.5 and won't shut the heat off and heat coming out is super-hot. Got this response from the company Turn on the heating switch, short press to adjust to display H1; 2. Long press 3S to display 62; 3. At this time, you can choose to add or subtract the temperature. 1st off why would I even need to do something like this to make it work 2nd I dont even know what they are talking about because I can't even find anything on it that flashes or says H1 or 3S. I unplugged the unit, and it worked fine for a week and now back to not letting us adjust the temp and the heat won't shut off and is so hot! I had to unplug it again but its won't even work this time just went back to showing 8.5. ... show more

If you decide to build your on insert, I would order the unit and measure it before building the insert. Measure twice, cut once.
