This metal box spring mattress frame is a game-changer. I was skeptical at first since I’ve always used wood box springs from big-box stores, but this one is definitely better. I bought the 7-inch Low Profile, Queen-sized frame. It arrived in a 1ft x 4ft box. The instructions are easy to follow, and it’s easy to assemble in 45 minutes or less. It’s sturdy and can be lifted by one person. I’ve used it on top of several 2x4 boards in my bed, and I haven’t had any noise or squeaking issues. This is a good frame. Pretty easy to put together. The box was a little beat up when it arrived but everything was labeled well. Had a little problem with one hole lining up but we made it work. It is for a guest bedroom so can’t say whether it squeaks or not yet. Will update after a few uses.

We bought this box spring because a pre-assembled one would not fit up our stairs. We were SO pleasantly surprised with this box spring. It was so easy to put together, and allowed us to take the box up the steps, and assemble the frame in the room. All pieces fit together easily, and it was easy for one person to put together. You probably need two people to lift the assembled frame though but it is not too heavy at all. This was a total steal for the price and quality.

I got the queen size. This frame is very easy to assemble and you can do it very quickly. However, there is no way the frame supports the weight it claims to support. The design forces all the weight to a single point in the center. That point is bolted together, but the frame bows like crazy, probably as much as two inches with just the weight of the mattress on it. That means your mattress sinks too. It is a nighttime collapse waiting to happen. I had to fashion a post to hold that point level. NOW it will support hundreds of pounds without issue. If you buy this item, be prepared to do the same.
