The item came damaged. I reached out the seller and they provided a couple options to correct the problem that were satisfactory for me. It fit well under the bed, but measure your space first and check the dimensions of this item before you purchase. It is not a 'safe' as others have said. It is heavier duty then a typical locker or cabinet type container. I am skeptical about the overall effectiveness of the as a security device. It seems that someone could easily pry it open with a wide variety of tools. I used cable locks to secure it to my bed frame. This should slow down any thieves without a trusty crowbar. For the price point its a good deal. The interior light is a nice touch. Drawer opens smoothly but mine is a little snug and the seat of the box when first opening and the last inch of closing, but this i believe is due to the damage it came with during the shipping- the drawer slightly rubs on the box frame somewhere. Bottom line: if you can afford the larger drawer safe that cost two or three times as much- and it'll fit where need it get that one. But like I said for the price and size this one is good. I Would buy from this seller again.

This is no light-weight! No one is going to be walking away with this safe under their arms. It's designed to safely store guns and rifles, but also can double as a safe for valuables. It can be set horizontal under a bed or on a shelf, or it can mounted vertically using the provided hardware. Set up is easily done, offering programming of two passcode combinations. There are also two emergency keys provided, which can be used instead of inputting a combination, in case of lockout from dead batteries. Insides are straps for securing the guns, and a thick felt pad lining the bottom. I'll sleep soundly knowing my guns and valuables are well secured. This isn't a full-blown safe in the sense that it can't be broken into with some effort, but it's worthwhile as protection against nosy kids and neighbors, which is what you should expect for the price point. Note: To open the drawer, after entering the combination or using the key, turn the keypad circular unit clockwise to disengage the locking bolts and pull the drawer.

Price point, it’s hard to beat. Overall, it’s closer to a lockable gun cabinet than a safe. I know I could get in with tools very fast, a pry bar I could be in within seconds. But I’m keeping it locked from kids, not intruders. I’m using it in a vertical capacity. It’s a bit overkill for an AR pistol. But it’s one of the few options that open on a small profile (drawer vs door). It’s in a closet and my clothes would interfere with a swinging door. A sliding drawer does not. This does the job and overall I’m happy. Dropped a star because it came dented (I beat it back to shape) but I was prepared for it based on images reviewed prior to purchase. I’m unsure of longevity. But I just need it to last until the kids grow up a bit. Also, the sliding is a bit catchy. Gotta open with a little effort. I think it’s rubbing a little but it’s not a bothersome enough to render it a problem.

Arrived well packaged, metal caps with styrofoam on ends so no dents or dings unlike some of the other reviews. Size as advertised, fits full size weapons. Lock worked first try. Too light for theft prevention, one person could carry away but secure enough to keep out of hands of little ones. Good quality for the price.

Poor quality control when shipping. This drawer arrived with a dent in the side and the drawer can not be opened. The box was not damaged and neither was the metal corners they used for shipping, so this was dented and THEN packaged up. Now I have to repackage this heavy item and get it to a UPS store to return. Very frustrating. Hopefully the next one is shipped better but this was NOT Amazon or delivery's fault... this was the manufacturer that dented the side and decide to ship it out anyway. Piss poor!

Great quality for the cost. The bezel the you rotate to open is made of plastic so not what I expected but the overall quality of the safe is good. Locking mechanism is solid and sturdy so the weapons inside are secure. No issues with the keypad as it looks like good quality as well.

Ok. I read reviews - the low star guy didn’t look at dimensions. This safe is sturdy, high quality, and easy to set up. It has a lot of room for multiple pew pews. It fits well under my bed and is exactly what I needed. Measure your area and look at the dimensions. That’s pretty simple. High quality and strong, I will probably order another for my other bedroom.

Easy to open and put under a king size bed. Security was easy to set up. Very sturdy. Is heavy but not to heavy to move/slid under bed. Worth the price. Came with keys just ine case.
