I wasn't sure at first when I found out that I was going to have to assemble the safe. However, it was not hard to put together and it's super sturdy. Hard to put together by yourself but it can be done. Overall this safe is awesome. The lock and key functions are fantastic. Great for keeping kids out. The safe looks good too. Overall A+++++ and I would recommend this to anyone looking for a new safe.

I don’t know what I was thinking ordering this “safe” off Amazon. First red flag was the price, second red flag was the grammar in the advertising, and that should of been enough to steer me away but I went for it anyways. It arrived in a flat pack box (red flag #3) and when I opened it up, immediately saw that it was just a flimsy, sheet metal cabinet. It most definitely is not a safe, nor is it fireproof. Correction, the metal might be fire resistant, but your belongings most refinery will not be protected since there’s a bunch of holes to “secure” it to something, on the back of it and all of the seams will let flames in as well. Those holes will also let a screw or bolt pull right through with the slightest prying since it’s such thin sheet metal, but I think they figured that’s not an issue since the expanding anchors they included are for drywall and would just break free anyway. The top shelf sits too low to be able to fit anything longer than a carbine, my Remington 870 barely fits even with the shelf removed. The foam gun holders also are way too wide for anything smaller than a 12g barrel. This thing is absolute junk that could be taken apart with a framing hammer in 10 minutes. Do not waste your time with it

This product should not be referred to as a “gun safe”. It is a gun cabinet - so I will refer to it as a gun cabinet in this review. Think of it as a small storage unit for your firearms. It could easily be pried open. Unless you have it secured to studs in the wall or filled from floor to ceiling with ammo, it could be easily be picked up and carried by two motivated people. With all of that said, I bought this gun cabinet to keep small hands safe and away from things they should not be touching. It serves its purpose in that sense. It was relatively easy to put together. If you can do it with another person, that would probably make the process go a tad smoother. The instructions were a tad confusing at points but I was able to figure it out with relative ease. You should not have any issues storing 5-6 long guns in this cabinet. I included the shelf and have random boxes of ammo and accessories stored there. You can add foam padding to the doors to store handguns if you like. Cons: 1) the interior light is borderline useless. It is extremely dim and is angled at a vantage which barely illuminates the interior of the safe. 2) the key pad does not light up - it also isn’t in your standard format as you’d see on a phone or any universal numeric keypad (see photos). This may sound like a small complaint but if you did find yourself in a situation of needing to access it quickly in the dark, this would pose quite an issue. 3) it could be pried open with relative ease. Pros: 1) it allows you to make firearms inaccessible to honest people who should not be touching them. 2) it was relatively easy to put together.
