*Updating to share customer service has resolved my issue* Ordered this amazon mud motor, with low expectations. Its a $400 motor, not expecting it to be good, but would at least hope it wasnt a $400 paperweight. I recieved the item damaged in transit, the oil cap was completely broken, preventing me to fill oil (tried using pliers, wrenches & other tools with no success). CS was helpful in initiating a refund, but as I went to remove the engine block, multiple screws snapped from minimal torque - they are so cheaply made. My engine is now permanently mounted to my boat as there is no way to remove the engine without now angle-grinding or SAWZALLing the frame to bypass the broken screws. Despite explaining multiple times with pictures that I cannot use the engine and now I cannot remove it, I am out 400$ and will have to damage/remove my transom to take the engine off, which will cost me significant more time & money. The long tail is also improperly welded, causing misalignment for the tail. Multiple screws and bolts come off after a short boat ride, despite being extremely tightened. The engine is a joke. They refuse to understand the state of the engine and expect me to feasibly remove and return by myself. Very disappointed. ... show more

Parts seem heavy and well built, but there’s literally no assembly instructions! There’s a decent amount of parts and you can guess how they go together, but would be nice to have instructions!!

The media could not be loaded. It runs good but is hard to put together. We found a video from someone on YouTube that was helpful. I'd buy it again for sure.

Looks pretty good. Got the two packages a couple of days apart. When I opened the motor, the pull cord was crushed in. After talking to customer service the only part they helped with was the second package delivery. Pretty sure it was a language barrier that caused the confusion. I called about a damaged motor. Had to do some creative engineering to fix the pull cord and bent metal. The throttle control goes nowhere, so I eliminated it. Got a piece and two screws that go nowhere. Some instructions would have been nice. i.e. Grease fitting placement or where to put the bushing. Other than that looking forward to spring so I can try it out. ... show more

No instructions came with it, the holes to mount to propeller shaft to the motor didnt line up, Multiple screws/bolts snapped under very little tension. It was a waste of 300 dollars. Reached out to the company with the issues but got no response.
