I recommend watching a YouTube video first, as they’ll tell you about placement. You would think it’s easy and simple to hula hoop, it’s just movement of the waist, right?! so wrong, lol. Before I watched the YouTube video, I placed it too high (way above belly button) and got it to spin continuously for roughly a minute, so I had to spin it a lot in 30 mins! After the 30 mins, I finally watched a YouTube video and saw that beginners should place it closer to hips (below belly button) or slightly above belly button, and I was able to spin it continuously for 2+mins! I’ll try again tomorrow and readjust it as needed so I can get it to spin continuously. Pants size: 12/14 (for looser fit). Shirt: L. Waist size: 43 inches. Weight: 180. Used 21 knots. (The flyer has recommendations based weight and size but they weren’t the right measurements for me, so I recommend you adjust according to your unique body.)

Ok guys. For all of the stuff I order on Amazon, I don't typically write reviews. So... the fact that I'm writing a review at all says A LOT. I LOVE THIS DEVICE! Reviews on similar devices had issues with connecting, disconnecting, loud clicking, and rough rolling weights (bc of the links). So far I have used time as a measure, and also counting. I find it to be a fun activity. You could use a song as a measure. I'll be using all of the above until I find what I like best. Then I will gradually increase my count or time using the device. Bottom line folks, this is the one! Easy to assemble and disassemble (to get the right sizing). The weight GLIDES SMOOTHLY and QUIETLY through the track. I am very pleased with this purchase. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

I saw the one on social media for a whole lot more money but when I saw all the bad reviews about the product and failure to obtain refunds after returns, I decided to look on Amazon. I read many reviews and this one had the best product reviews, I trust Amazon's return/refunds, this one was bigger, and the price was unbeatable. It delivered in one day. It was super easy to put together. Now, here's my personal experience, because there's no instructions on how to use it and initially, I thought to return it because I couldn't do it. I was never a hoola hooper, even as a child. I vid chatted with a friend who helped me make some discoveries which helped. I had it around my belly! WRONG! It goes around the hips, the lower, the better. My friend pointed out that it was higher in the back than in the front. It must be straight all the way around. I had to get it below the fat at my tailbone. Stand with your feet apart and knees bent. And DON'T GIVE UP! Having someone watch (and laugh WITH you) is invaluable. It took about 10 minutes to finally get it right but wow what a workout. I'm deeply deconditioned with lung disease so I became very winded after about a minute and had to rest. Heart rate hit 100 bpm and I was sweating profusely. I will have to work my way up to 30 mins but even just 5 minutes was better than no movement at all. So, I like this thing and I'm looking forward to continuing. Just don't be dismayed! It takes a few minutes to get the knack, and the placement of it on your body is critical. But you can do it! I was hesitant to order. There are so many to choose from on Amazon. Finally decided to get this one because of the price and other reviews. It works good! The best thing about it is that it's so quiet. I've read where other ones are loud. I bought the blue, getting the black one too! I'm very impressed with the quality. I do it anywhere from 20 minutes to an hour a day. In 3 weeks I can tell a difference. ! My jeans that were fitting tight over the winter fit so much better! Has definitely slimmed down my waist. My butt and hips and even my back muscles have tightened up! It's actually addictive once I got the hang of it. Don't get discouraged, keep trying it even for a few minutes at a time. You'll get the hang of it. I should mention that I have knee and hip problems. After I got the hang of it I can position my legs to take the pressure off of my knees. Don't get discouraged, you'll get in your own groove that works for you!

Loved this while it lasted. I’ve had it 3 months, was hooping and the weight flew off across the room! I’m lucky it didn’t fly into my tv or hit one of my dogs. Could have done a lot of damage or killed a dog.

This product is a fun way to get active for a little bit every day and is great if you have a small space! I love using this while watching a show. My only complaint would be that each link is a bit hard to remove at times.

Just ordered this hoop, and it's early days to see how effective it will be...I'll edit my post when I've used it longer. Seems very sturdy, and it is quiet. Tons of videos on YouTube to help if it's awkward getting started. But I have to say it is so much fun to use with music, and gets me sweating and heart rate up. And low impact too!

I just got this 2 days ago so can't tell weight loss or toning results yet. But I can say i think the quality and ease of connecting it was surprisingly great. I really enjoy doing the hoop. Put your music on and go at it 😃I do recommend watching a you tube video on the correct way to use it though. I had mine a little too loose at first. It should not droop in front or back. So make it snug enough to sit straight. Just un snap and snap it back on. It's easy! Good quality for the price in my opinion.
