The fireplace is just what we wanted for a little supplemental heat and ambiance. The heat output is pretty standard (about as much as a blow dryer) for plug in models. The fan is relatively quiet. The remote does have a rather loud beep and has to be pointed directly at the unit, but works as expected. The install was straight forward but the bottom edge has no flange (designed for tabletop) so you need to be exact on measuring. The only thing I think I would wish this unit had was the ability to adjust the flame brightness. It is plenty bright enough without being obnoxious, but it might be nice to turn it down. Compared to other models I research I think this was the best choice at this price point and even pricier models since the colors have more options and a temperature setting. ... show more

We just finished building the area where we put the new fireplace. We tested it out twice and all seemed ok but on the 3rd time when we actually wanted to enjoy it, the flames stopped moving!! The heat still works at the moment but the flames are frozen in place. So very disappointed!
