I had about 100 bulbs I wanted to plant and was dreading it. I just happened to come across this little tool and decided to try it out. This made digging my holes so fast! I had all the holes dug, bulbs planted and covered in 40 minutes flat! With my shovel I would have been out there for hours. It easily slips into the drill and away it goes. I just received the Auger Drill Bit and this is going to make my life so much easier. This is one of those items that is even better than I hoped it would be. I had to try it out immediately keeping in mind the ground is still very hard and cold from winter. I plant over 25 flats of annuals as well as bulbs from the previous year. Our ground is a very hard soil. This auger bit will make replanting so much easier. I spend hours digging holes. This was compatible with my current drill and got through the ground with just a little pressure. It is solidly built and I do not feel it will bend which was my initial concern before ordering. It looks like plastic but it is a black powder coated steel. It is absolutely solid with a point at the end to break into the ground. The bit measure approximately 10 inches long which is more than enough for my planting. I am very pleased with this product and I have seen similar at a much higher price point. First off, when I click on the tab for this product is shows something completely different than the auger that's good for a drill. It shows a bigger auger bit connected to a professional auger drill. This is not that. This is a two spiral auger bit made for a drill and that's what I wanted. The auger is self is made of very light material so it doesn't weigh you down when holding. It takes a bit of effort to push down and drill a hole and the drill needs to be in the correct settings for the hardness of the dirt. this took a little effort but after I set the drill at a much faster speed it worked well. I'm impressed. This is the exact tool I needed for planting and it was easier than I thought. It's a light auger. only about 9" long so it takes some bending down but you already know this when you decided to get this. It works well so far and so far it's a win win for me. ... show more
