So, I bought this corn LED light a bit less than 2 years ago. It worked adequately between then and now, but then recently began to make a loud howling noise. It has a cooling fan and so I rather assume that a bearing in the fan had begun to fail; at least, that's what it sounded like. I contacted the seller and gave him the particulars of the situation and said that I wanted to make a warranty claim. After all, the listing for this product on Amazon partially reads as follows: 100% HASSLE-FREE:… 2 years hassle-free quality service, if there’s any quality problem occurs during this period, we will replace with new product and send to you for free. Buy now with confidence. I'm paraphrasing here, but the seller essentially responded that "they would be happy to replace the light and send me a new one for free. But first, rooroo! In order for that to actually happen, I first had to return the product to China and pay for the shipping myself. Which, by the way, would cost me twice as much as just buying another one. Probably I should just let it go and move on. I replied to the seller that I was here to tell him that having to ship this thing off to China at exorbitant expense, wait weeks and weeks and weeks to get one back is not "HASSLE-FREE". It is, in fact, the VERY DEFINITION of hassle to have to do so. Just between you, me and the fence post, I found it especially odd that I had to return the product to CHINA when, to the best of my knowledge, it didn't originally COME from China. It arrived very quickly after I ordered it. If it came from United States stock, why was I being asked to return it to China? You can probably well imagine my attitude towards what was going on here. I was just inhaling to thoroughly vent my spleen at the seller when, much to my surprise, the vendor suddenly said he didn't want me to go away mad and was sending me a replacement immediately, and, oh yes, he was looking forward to my five star review. So, here is my five star review. Though there was much unpleasant and unreasonable discussion involved, the seller did, in the fullness of time and through a fog of jawing, follow through on their product support claims to their proper extent. This bulb is very bright and puts out a ton of natural colored light. It doesn't give me headaches like many fluorescent lights do. My only complaint is how loud the integrated fan is. I used it inside my home over my desk so I constantly hear it as I work. The fan probably wouldn't be too noticable in a garage or similar area, but is very noticeable as I have it set up. I would describe it on the same level as a laptop fan when doing heavy computing. I've gotten used to it, but it drives my wife crazy. ... show more

This is an incredibly bright bulb, with very high color rendering index. It is likely the best quality light from an LED bulb I have ever used, even though I generally prefer slightly higher color temperatures. It is very similar to a halogen in CRI and CCT.
