These sheets fit my deep mattress nice and snug, I doubt we will have problems with them slipping off, other brands we’ve had often do! They are soft, but for my standard, they aren’t nearly as soft as I was expecting. I wonder if they get softer after a several washes, crossing my fingers! Ok, so what is advertised are cotton sheets. Someone has even posted a pic of their label, and it states "100% Egyptian Cotton". The sheets I received were Cotton Linen. Big difference, as linens sheets are very scratchy from the start. They will actually grab, because of this roughness. True, they do soften up after many washes, but no thanks! Regular cotton sheets are soft from the get go. Also, thread count is not necessarily an indicator of softness. The quality of cotton matters. Some of the softest sheets I've owned were 250 thread count. I think the quality of material nowadays is not what it used to be, unless you spend a few hundred dollars on a set.
