My husband got this same wallet in brown 13 months ago, and he loves it. It's nowhere near ready for replacement, but we do like to have backups for the things we really like before they're no longer available; therefore, with my husband's birthday next week, I thought it was a great opportunity to gift him with a wallet that I know he loves before the old one has bitten the dust. With this wallet, that could be quite a while, because it's been very durable and promises a lot more wear, but everything has to be replaced eventually, and we're prepared for that now and won't have to search around for one that he likes like we did last time. This new one is just like the old one in nearly all respects. One exception is in color and leather texture. This one is soft, almost suede like to the touch, and is full grain saddle leather. The old one has a shinier, slicker finish, and although it's called Carhartt Brown, this new one is more to the tannish side of the brown spectrum. I really like it, and I'm sure my husband will enjoy it. It's got 6 pockets for credit cards, 3 on each side with another pocket behind them for receipts, business cards, etc., and one mesh ID window in the middle. The old one has a clear plastic ID window, and I consider the mesh an upgrade, since it won't mar or cloud up, and it is more supportive of RFID capability as well. The billfold area is more than sufficient for some cash or other items that need to be carried, and the size of the wallet is sufficient to carry all this and remain comfortable in the pocket. The quality is impeccable. I found no missed, broken or loose stitches, and the triple stitching across the length of the wallet looks simply stylish, just the way my husband likes it. Both my husband and I are very pleased with this excellent trifold wallet. It is basic and highly functional with a place for everything you need to carry, it's comfortable, it's attractive, and it's well made. We'd both highly recommend it.

I swapped out my old wallet and this one felt like a small upgrade the second I loaded it. No instructions needed; it was straightforward to set up, slide in the cards, license in the ID window, and cash in the bill pocket. After steady daily use, the full grain leather feels soft and supple with a premium look, and the embossed logo hits a nice, clean note without shouting. Fit is comfortable in both front and back pockets, sits flat, and broke in fast without turning sloppy. Capacity is strong: all my cards fit, nothing pinches, and bills stay straight. Stitching is tidy, edges are smooth, and the interior lining does not snag. Function-wise, RFID seems covered on the bifold and slim options, but the trifold does not appear to block scans, so you may want to throw an RFID card in if you pick that style. Compared with similar leather wallets at this price, this feels better finished and less bulky when full, with a nicer hand feel. I like the supple leather, the premium vibe, the roomy layout for cards, license, and money, and the tasteful logo placement. I do not like the uncertainty on RFID for the trifold. Recommendation: 4 stars. It earns high marks for materials, comfort, and value, with one star off for inconsistent RFID across styles.

Carhartt Brown Men’s Full Grain Saddle Leather Wallets, Visit the Carhartt Store This extraordinary wallet arrived a few days ago and I am so excited. It is a Christmas gift for my husband and it's a leather color he has never owned. Carhartt never fails to deliver a quality product. Until recently, I had no idea that the company made anything else but working gear. This light brown is so handsome. The softness and quiet fragrance of its leather is exceptional.Shop until your hearts content as this wallet will hold up to sixteen credit cards and/or ID! The combination of the full grain leather and unique to Carhartt liner, gives this version an appearance my husband will love. A casual yet business look will take my husband from work to play or business meeting where presentation of every detail matters. Although my husband is retired, this wallet will take him from the fishing boat to a business conference, or a formal dinner out with me! Plus, while out anywhere, he is protected with the RFID feature which will not allow the would-be thief from stealing his ID. Don’t let the size of a mere 4.5" x 3.5"x 1.0” deceive you. Carhartt leather bi-fold wallets have always been my favorite and I've had several Carhartt wallets over the years and with their durable leather construction lasted many years however they didn’t incorporate the RFID blocking technology and regrettably I opted for a brand of wallet with this feature. But to my surprise I ran across this Carhartt RFID blocking wallet that looked identical to my old wallet. The natural saddle leather and the stitching are heavy duty just like my previous wallets and it has the same number of pockets. The inside pockets have a thinner version of the classic Carhartt blanket lining and the pattern is similar to the lining used in some of their coats. The RFID blocking material is installed in the wallet between the outer leather cover and the blanket lining of the main money pocket. Even with the addition of the RFID and the blanket lining the wallet is very light and small enough to be carried in a front pocket without being obtrusive just like the previous versions. FYI: if you travel, I recommend carrying your wallet in a front pocket. I bought my first Carhartt wallet over 30 years ago and honestly this new RFID wallet exhibits the same quality materials and features of those previous versions and I don’t believe you can find a full featured and quality leather wallet at this price anywhere.
