The thread is beautiful. It is a little hard to work with—hard to thread the needle and the strands separate and fray. But the results are gorgeous.

This is hands down The Worst thread I have ever had the misfortune of using but damn if it doesn't yield fantastic visual results. As other reviewers have noted, it frays *a lot*. It can twist and kink up considerably if you aren't careful. It's also quite stiff so it likes to un-thread itself from your needle (which is of course a total pain because the fraying makes it annoying as all get out to then re-thread). It does look exactly as pictured however, and totally delivers the result I'm going for, but whether it's worth the trouble of working with it...your mileage may vary. ... show more

The color is a beautiful metallic silver. I purchased to use to embroider a robot and wanted a metal look. It is a perfect color, be aware that the thread is a little fussy and be careful when stitching to lay the thread flat before pulling the stitch through. I am very happy with this purchase .

This is a cross between thread and wire. It’s more sturdy than thread, but is a tad stiff similar to a thin wire. I needed a large tassle for a graduation card box and two sets of these worked great and was a quick project. It has a nice, yellow metallic gold color as pictured.

It has a rather yellow undertone, rather than a nice, rich gold. I tried using it to make bracelets, but wasn't able to finish them because the knots kept coming undone. It also has a rather scratchy texture and tends to fray a lot.
