First, love the reel and everything about it, bought several. REASON I say “beware” is that I came here by selecting BUY AGAIN. Now it’s says Pro Rocket and is substantially higher in cost. The one I bought from this listing before was NOT a Pro Rocket and the one pictured in the add is not a Pro Rocket so it all seems odd. At the time I bought my reel it was labeled just as a 7000C, and that’s what I paid for and received. So I gave it 5 stars. Actually came to buy another, but with current inconsistencies in what’s listed vs. what’s pictured, and jump in price, I think I’m going to hold off for now ... show more

Love it! The pro rocket far exceeds expectations. Haven't landed anything on it yet but it does cast like a rocket and seems to be put together well, despite being made in China. I like the 7000 series so much I am probably going to buy the 6500 series as well for my next round baitcaster.

1) I got the right model. I'm not sure what all this noise about it "not being a pro rocket" is, but Abu confirms I received a CS-7000 pro rocket. All of these reels are made in China, so I'm not sure what that has to do with it. 2) It's a very nice bait-caster, but not much has changed. I could not tell that this reel was twice the price of others I have. Mostly this earns it the four stars. 3) Braided is not so good with this reel. If you really us power-cast, you should use mono or a LONG shock leader. ... show more

I bought this reel for catfishing I use 30 lb Mono and it cast very good it holds around 195 to 215 yards of 30 lb Mono maybe a little more I use 5 to 8 oz sinkers with cut skipjack or live bream baits it casts a good 75 yards this reel will handle any catfish in the Tennesse river I already caught a few big ones 40+lb blue catfish I have the reel on. A 7'6 Okuma Battle cat rod This is the best catfish setup ever no joke its heavy duty for any thing under 20 pounds but a lot of fun bring in big ones ... show more

Already have a C3 7000 and the difference outwardly is cosmetic. Performance wise, which is internal, night and day. This reel is worth twice the price any day of the week!
