Additionally, it was important that the height when we sat down was not too low. The set was pretty simple to assemble, although the cushions came separate from the casings it was not to hard to figure out which went with which. The seats are comfortable and the material is thick enough that my dogs' nails have not scratched it. The material is water resistant so if you accidentally knock a cup down it does not absorb it. I bought this to replace another set that was starting to fall apart. I like that you can sit 6 but the individual pieces are smaller and lower to the ground than my previous one. One picture show without legs, the other two are with. I didn’t like how flat and low it was so we bought and attached 4”metal legs to make it more comfortable. The pillows are only 3” but they are comfortable. The fabric is a bit thin. I wanted to use the waterproof replacement covers from my previous set but couldn’t. They were too big. Standard is approx 26.” These are 23”. I was able to find a set but few choices available in that size. Overall it seems sturdy, fits our deck well and I like the way it looks. PS, after using for a while I noticed the back pillows are too light and flop down constantly. I had to rig them in place with elastic and binkie clips to keep them from falling off. The set seems well made and was not too hard to assemble. There are stickers on every piece telling you which piece it is, but they were often hard to see (on a skinny side) and I didn't find them until I had the pieces partway together. My only real complaint is that the glass on the table hung over the edges of the base. With a 5 year old and dogs, I was nervous someone was going to jabbed. The glass is held on with suction cups so it doesn't lie flat against the base and bows when pressed on (by aforementioned 5 year old) or something heavyish is placed on it. We replaced it with a piece of plexiglass that does not hang over and are very happy. Cushions are comfortable and vibrant aqua. The bottom cushions velcro into place, which is nice because they don't move, but also means you can't flip them over. Back cushions do tend to topple over. So far it has endured friends, children, and pets. Liquids sit on top of the fabric and even a red popsicle spill was easy to clean up and did not stain (it was cleaned up immediately). Loovveeeeee this set. I ordered 2. And the pillows match so good with my red umbrellas. Set is comfy. Not very easy to put together and will need at least 2 people, a drill Allen key, and patience.. but it is worth it. Not exactly water proof except for small spills (do not leave outside in rain- have a cover or large storage available for cushions). Definitely a good deal for the price though ... show more

Box was dropped off at my porch and it was damaged as well as the product. I communicated with Shintenchi and a refund was honored. However, I have to take the other two boxes to a UPS store to receive the full refund. They only picked up 1/3 boxes. Please don’t purchase product unless you are home and waiting by your porch for the delivery. This is too much of a hassle and not worth it.
