I am absolutely in love with my new Victrola record player! The vintage design adds a charming touch to my living room, and the sound quality is impressive for such an affordable price. It’s incredibly easy to set up and use, making it perfect for both seasoned vinyl collectors and beginners. The addition of Bluetooth capability is a great bonus, allowing me to play music wirelessly when I don’t feel like using records. The build quality feels sturdy, and the turntable runs smoothly. Overall, it’s a fantastic product that brings a nostalgic vibe to my home—highly recommend it to anyone who appreciates great music and retro style! ... show more

  • Wonderful Player
Color: Walnut
Plays the radio, Bluetooth (extremely easy and available to connect quickly), records, CD's and Tapes! All in one. It's very big and has a big presence In a room. I love how it looks. Victrola has such a vibe and aesthetic. I never tire looking at it's design. I enjoyed a prior review on this which I will repeat but with brevity: If you are some kind of deep sound quality guru who has strong opinions about perfect pitch and sound then you shouldn't be shopping on Amazon. Any reasonable person will absolutely love this multi-medium player. It's so gorgeous to look at and absolutely delivers good sound. I am a regular person who will read reviews because I look at the aggregate feedback of others to help me feel comfortable with a purchase. I would never steer you wrong. If you are already reading reviews and looking at this player, buy it. You will enjoy this. I know I am loving it. ... show more

  • A Simple Nostalgia Piece that Warms the Home: Empire Music Center Review
Color: Espresso
The media could not be loaded. Before I delve into my thoughts about this product, it's important for potential buyers to recognize exactly what they're investing in. Based on some of the mixed feedback, it seems there may be a bit of confusion regarding the sound quality expectations. Many seem to have prioritized affordability over specific audio needs. Here's the lowdown: this is a plug-and-play record player equipped with a turntable, in the most general sense. It's not a high-fidelity turntable designed for audiophiles or vinyl collectors seeking the precise acoustic fidelity offered by brands like Sonos. If you're deeply invested in the vinyl culture and sound quality, you probably wouldn't be browsing Amazon for a turntable. Your tastes would draw you toward specialized brands such as HOUSE OF MARLEY, WRENSILVA, BDI, ANDOVER, or high-end VICTORLA. Having cleared that up, let me tell you why I adore this record player. Since I was young, I've cherished owning a simple, portable record player—the kind that joyfully spun records like 'The Wiz' and 'Grease.' To me, the Empire model is a delightful step up from my previous Victrola Journey player. The design captivates me with its nostalgic charm and elegant aesthetic. For context, I didn't buy this for its ability to compete with an amplifier or subwoofer. Rather, I was drawn to its dual purpose: firstly, as a practical, no-fuss record player, and secondly, for its timeless, vintage allure. In my view, this player hits all the right notes for creating ambiance. It's an all-inclusive music center that doesn't just play tunes—it also becomes a focal point that sparks conversations during get-togethers. So far, I haven't experienced any issues with skipping or sound quality, though I don't intend it for daily heavy use. This record player shines during special occasions, adding a layer of auditory charm. To potential buyers who are casual music enthusiasts looking for an item that merges function with style, this might be the perfect addition to your home. It's designed to provide a backdrop of music for your life's moments—not to dissect the nuances of sound but to envelop you in warmth and nostalgia. ... show more

  • Beautiful Machine, Poor Mechanics
Hello! My dad passed away recently and I found myself inheriting his vinyl collection. The reason I gravitated toward the Victrola brand was because he also had an original model antique Victrola (with a hand crank, not a plug!), but that was much too big to bring into my apartment at college. I also had recently been looking to upgrade from my tiny waterproof bluetooth speaker to something a bit more substantial, so I ordered this. Overall, it's treated me well, but I had a couple issues. Let's get into it! Appearance: 4/5 This is a beautiful machine! I got mine in espresso to match my furniture, and I couldn't be more happy with the knobs, lights, or display. Everything from the outside looks very clean and high quality, as long as you don't look too close. The mechanics on the inside (the knobs and switches for vinyl) are plastic and feel a little cheap. Additionally, the wood is only paneling, and underneath the plastic faux grain is a lightweight wood composite. I was kinda bummed when I opened the box, but overall, not bad! Sound: 4/5 When playing anything, vinyl or otherwise, the speakers produce a warm, rich treble and patchy bass. As an R&B lover, I was slightly disappointed with that. However, the speakers pack a lot of volume. The sound this machine produces fills my apartment at quarter volume, which impressed me a lot for the size. The bass issue could easily be combatted by getting a set of bookshelf speakers, which I might do when I move somewhere bigger. Mechanics: 3/5 Earlier I touched on the fact that the mechanics on the inside of the machine seemed cheap. At first, the machine worked like a dream and played all my dad's old records just as well as I remembered them. After I'd had it for a couple weeks with daily use, I purchased a few new vinyls. When I played a new one, after a few seconds, the arm started to skip around! I had no idea what was going on, but after some googling, I found that the arm needed to be balanced (set to a heavier weight so that the needle would sit in the grooves and not jump around), however, this machine doesn't allow the player to balance the tone arm. After some more googling, I found out that many audiophiles put Victrola in the Crosley category of poor quality and cheap mechanics. Devastated that I'd spent so much money on a subpar record player and had already thrown away the box and receipts, I did what any poor college student would do: stacked two nickels on the arm. It played the new record like a dream! I did end up covering the nickels in some black electrical tape so they wouldn't stick out against the other parts. I'm still very sad I spent so much money on this for it to have such a big design flaw, but fortunately, it had a simple and quick fix. Overall, I'm pretty pleased with this product. I love the way it looks and I love playing my dad's old records. I wish I'd done more research instead of just buying what looked cool and shiny, but that's what I get for jumping on the vinyl bandwagon so last-minute. TO SUMMARIZE: If you're young and cheap and want a record player (and have some nickels handy), buy this! If you're an experience audiophile, keep looking. ... show more
