It was easy to push the barrels into the handle and lock it, but it was hard to take the barrels back out. I really had to pull (I had to pull so hard that I had to check to see if I really unlocked it! It was harder to remove than my other curler with interchangeable barrels by a lot!). The temperature can be adjusted in increments of 20 degrees. It stops blinking when it reaches the temperature you picked. All the irons were smooth and didn't catch my hair. I like the rose gold color. Super Mega Three Barrel Curler! It gave my 2aFii hair beachy waves in less than ten seconds on 220F. This is why I picked this XD I wanted the beachy waves :) It took 15 minutes to cool the three barrel curler, which is pretty good given its weight and all. I like that it has a stand for just the curler part on this one. I could take it off, put the handle and cords away and leave just the barrel to cool so there was more space on the counter. Flat Iron... It took 29 seconds to get to 220 on flat iron. I thought that was pretty fast! Yay! Only I couldn’t straighten my hair. It took ten slow passes to get it straighter, but not straight. Why? I think it’s because the plates aren’t even (see photo. It's totally closed at the end with a super gap near the barrel). Most of the time my hair just slipped out. I know some gap is good so it doesn’t scrape and damage your hair, but as the gap was uneven I think this was some kind of flaw. I had to really pull my hair down on the plates to get it to straighten even a little. Even with me pulling my hair down on the plates, it wouldn’t straighten. If it can curl super fast, shouldn’t it straighten super fast? I didn’t like this and took off a star. Gloves I always use gloves now (and you have to for the regular barrels because they have no clips). These gloves were tight at the wrist and loose on the fingers (loose length-wise and width-wise). My hands are a glove size small, if that helps you. Instructions The instructions are intelligible. You can tell they weren’t a native English speaker, but I could figure out what I needed to do. Travel? It's a bit too bulky for me to want to travel with this. It's way bigger (even taking apart) than my current travel iron which straightens and curls. It is double insulated (has the double square logo) and dual voltage so it'll work internationally. The voltage is 100-240V. Tip: Right away the Flamingo went and hit weird buttons by accident and changed it to Celsius. Face palm. So if this happens to you, you press the “+” and “-“ buttons at the same time to change it back to F…or from F to C.

Okay, I love this thing. My mom is a hairdresser, so I have been around styling tools all my life and have used MANY. I was a little skeptical of this because I thought maybe the quality would be sacrificed for the ease of use with it being “all in one”… but that couldn’t be further from the truth! The barrels are SO smooth, they did not damage my hair at all. Temp control was so easy to use and change. Love that the digital analog reader showed me the temp and also stopped blinking when it was ready. I also couldn’t believe how fast this thing heated up!! I didn’t time it but it was seriously less than a minute I’m pretty sure. I first used the triple barrel on my hair. I got rid of mine years ago when this sort of went out of style. But now I was wishing I hadn’t bc of course it’s back in! It also took up so much room. Thankfully with this, it saves SO much room because it’s one wand that fits with so many attachments! Anyway- I was little concerned with the dent it made on my hair when I did the first clamp. I even tilted the wand to avoid the clamp dent. But it smoothed out relatively quickly after brushing it through (see pics!!) and just with some time. This was easy to use and easy to hold. Easy to clamp the attachments in and change it out. I did accidentally hit the buttons a couple times while doing my hair, and I thought oh no, I just turned it off. But I didn’t! You have to press and hold them down for them to do what they are supposed to do. So that was a nice feature that my bumps on the buttons didn’t actually change anything. This set is also really pretty. I love the rose gold color of it. This would be an awesome gift for someone who likes to do hair or who would like to start learning to do their hair because of it being so many tools all in one!! I have yet to try the straightener, but did use the curling irons on my daughter. It was great too! I also loved the clamps it came with and the glove too. I didn’t use it since I’m pretty good with hot tools, but it is nice if you need it!! I have pretty thin, straight hair and so does my daughter. I always have trouble with curl holding. But this held pretty well considering I used minimal product, since I was just trying this at home and not going anywhere fancy! Obviously everyone’s hair is different, but this worked great for me and my daughter!

Things I love: - Multi-tools in one!! It was a bit tricky to figure out how to attach them at first, but I figured it out in no time. This is a space saver and so convenient to have! - Tapered curling irons are literally the best. I have curly/wavy hair… it’s curlier on the underside and the top part is kind of meh. This iron allows me to mix in some healthy looking curls where it’s needed. It’s not something I use regularly, but it’s great to have for special events! - Multiple size options for the tapered curling barrel - you can get wider or thinner curls as you’d like! - Ceramic, so it doesn’t damage hair as much. - Heats up super fast. Things that are meh: - Flat iron isn’t as good as it could be. There are some gaps where my hair gets stuck and it takes several passes to get my thick curly hair straightened. I rarely straighten my hair though, so it’s not a big deal to me (mostly got this for the other attachments). - Haven’t tried the 3 barrel yet, but the pics someone else posted don’t look that great. I’m sure it will take some practice.
