I have been using this for beer brewing in 1 gallon batches. It works pretty well in the 1 gallon jars as long as you can get the mixer centered in the bottle. If I was using beakers or something with a flat bottom it would probably work pretty flawlessly.

Does what a lower end hot plate should do. Heats well. Stirs well. Switch went out on second use. Replaced it and it works again. Okay if you don’t want to spend $500 or more on a hot plate
