I have built the bike and have ridden almost 100 miles. In short I would recommend Pros Fast and powerful - gets to 45mph quickly Easy to use - wish the OS was better but still good Range - I easily believe the range as advertised Looks - I only wish it was available in the blue for the a9 Quality - 95% good but did find 5 loose screws/bolts Comfort - I’ve rode 45 miles in one trip and it’s pretty comfortable like a moped but not if you pedal because the seat is wide Cons Building - the instructions are not great and missing items, they should really have a video somewhere Peddling - I’ve mostly used throttle only but if you want to petal too it’s not very comfortable because the seat is wide and 7th gear is pretty small so anything over 25mph you can’t petal Brakes - they work great just the pads are small and I can tell they won’t last very long, also wish there was some form of regenerative brake system. ... show more

The freedom this bike allows is just about limitless. I often pedal with the bicycle on pedal assist 1 and 100% of the time have passed for a non motorized bicycle this far. Even at Chambers Bay golf course, on a mostly pedestrian path, which has an occasional slow cyclist. Zero of these high society, snooty types even bat a lash at my passing. This particular path is littered with pedestrians and inclines of up to 35-40% grade. These motors will pulverize that hill pedal assist or not, and accelerate through it with need to back off. Incredible. The highlights mentioned make this park test truly the ultimate way of expressing what I mean by “just about limitless”. The direct drive motors on the bike most no more noise than a faint pulse when you hear juice hitting the hubs. It’s covered by tire noise after the initial burst and that’s the end of all noise output. Stealthy as it gets. So what does this all mean? An ability to run the speed limit of 45+mph of most any surface road where you live, making you safer around traffic, as well as the ability to maintain that thrill for hours. Washington State is littered with steep hills, but this thing will ride up Capital Hill no problem. Go outside and adventure wherever you set your mind to.
