Five stars so far. I don’t think it’s really 55lbs. I have a 45lb minn kota and a 55lb motor guide. Not as strong as either one of those. It also makes a noise that almost sounds like a phone ringing in the distance. Update It is definitely not 55 pounds and seems to be diminishing over time. I think 30 pounds is a conservative estimate. I do like that each speed setting is distinct and does change the speed. Both forwards and backwards. Still makes a shrill noise in the higher speeds. All and all good enough for my little ultra skiff. Especially at the price point

Good motor and fast shipping, but when it is 0.83 HP rated, my meter shows max of 400W power draw, what is 0.53 HP. Looks like everything those days is overate and badly advertised.

Works as intended. I bought this for a backup motor for my pontoon boat. It clamps right on the motor mount. Wires could be longer with a breaker built in. I extended mine and wires to a battery.
