I was actually kinda surprised by how good the quality of this cabinet is. It's sturdy, was super easy to assemble (for me and my partner anyway), and looks great. The doors slide very easy, we've had no issues with them getting stuck or being hard to open. They also don't feel fragile or anything when opening or closing. It's a great size for underneath our tv and there's tons of storage room, the little side cubbies are a great bonus. I could also see it being useful as a dry bar or coffee bar set up. I was nervous about purchasing this because I wasn't sure how the quality would be. Turns out, I absolutely love this sideboard. It has elevated our small living room and given us some much-needed storage space. It's a lightweight piece that is perfect for our short-term apartment-living needs. Since it's not made of real wood, this isn't a piece I would recommend for heavy use or longevity (aka, you won't be passing this on to your grandkids). I also wouldn't put it in a high-traffic area. But the price is right, and it's exactly what it needs to be. Assembly was a breeze and the doors slide easily. This is an amazing piece! I love it... It's sturdy, attractive, and (unlike many) I found it super-easy to assemble - all by myself, despite all the warnings about needing two people. The only difficult part is initially feeding the doors into the slots in back, but once you get halfway around it just slides right in. Just takes patience, and some very gentle wiggling. The only thing I screwed up was neglecting to insert the little plastic strip between the two halves of the back panel - but I placed the shelf on the top pinholes to fit some taller items on the bottom, and you can't even see it. From the comments about it being so small, I was worried but it's exactly the size I expected - maybe even a little taller than I thought it would be. I am so happy with my purchase. ... show more

My husband cringes when I order items needing assembly. This sideboard cabinet turned out to be one of the easiest. The packaging was great, no dings, chips, or scratches. Directions were all pictures and no words, but very clear and all hardware was packaged and labeled. It went together nicely and took less than an hour. The tambour doors slide easily. There was definitely a chemical odor which dissipated in a day with the doors left open. We love the cabinet, it enhances the mid century vibe in our apartment and goes well with our other furniture. ... show more

Well packed, easy build. The doors sliding around the back with just a little friction. I saw someone else used this as a console with tv which was my goal. I didn’t think this through all the way since cords cannot go out the back- I’ll drill a hole in the bottom to get game system connected to tv and power. ... show more

Pleasantly impressed with this cabinet. Even though it's not real wood, every side of the cabinet is finished. Instructions were super clear and it's sturdy. Husband loves that it looks like it could be Grandpa's bar cabinet. My only complaint is that the channel for the sliding doors is unfinished, but I may attempt to color match and paint it so I can sometimes leave the doors open. If you are putting it somewhere where the back would be exposed, it's well finished, but not the prettiest since there are extra notches so the doors can slide in. ... show more
